Vietnam has long been known for its rich natural and cultural tourism resources spreading the whole country. With this background, tourism sector is contributing significantly to the economy of Vietnam, creating 5.8 percent of GDP and nearly half a million of jobs for Vietnamese people. However, the human resources quality in the tourism has been a major issue of the industry, especially in the rapid integration of the country to the world where the demand for quality is getting increasingly higher. Thus, the tourism industry of Vietnam is in urgent need for high quality workforce equipped with professional training.
Understanding the need of the tourism industry, the Ministry of Education & Training of Vietnam has permitted Dai Nam University to open the program “Travel and Tourism Management” at the bachelor level. The Faculty of Tourism is tasked with providing this program starting from 2016. The mission is to provide high quality human resources at the international standard for the tourism and hotel industry.

III) TRAINING TARGET
Students are equipped with professional training in hotel, tourism – travel management with the training standard of ASEAN and EU. Graduates can meet the demand of tourism market in skills, knowledge, foreign language ability and professionalism. 
IV) TRAINING PROGRAM
Training program is based on three criteria:
-         Governmental regulations on higher education training program
-         International standard (ASEAN and EU standard)
-         Job market demand in Vietnam
V) TRAINING METHOD
The training method combines knowledge and practice. The Faculty provides opportunities to students to receive internship and jobs at tourism companies and hotels cooperating with Dai Nam University.
