Nurses are the ones who hold the health and life of patients in their hands. The daily work of a nurse involves consulting and directly caring for the health of patients. Focus on training communication skills with patients
To become a good and professional nurse, trusted and loved by patients, in addition to having a solid grasp of professional knowledge, nurses must also know patients well and gain their cooperation in treatment.
“ In addition to professional knowledge and clinical knowledge, the Faculty of Nursing especially focuses on training basic communication skills; communication skills with patients, families, colleagues; information gathering skills; information evaluation skills; information transmission skills; leadership skills; teamwork skills... for students. According to Master Le Van Duy, patients are the ones who indirectly or directly influence the improvement of nursing skills. Therefore, each person needs to learn how to put themselves in the position of the patient to understand their psychology and from there, it is easier to advise and sell medicine.

The training program of the Faculty of Nursing, Dai Nam University not only focuses on training professional knowledge, clinical skills, communication skills but also focuses on training students in knowledge of management, teaching and leadership. Regarding management, the Faculty focuses on training knowledge of human resource management, material resources, time... and budget. Regarding teaching, the Faculty focuses on training teaching according to objectives, building plans, content, methods... Regarding leadership knowledge, the Faculty focuses on identifying and handling problems, making decisions...
Dai Nam University focuses on training according to "5-star nursing" standards
To realize the above training goals, the Board of Directors and the Board of Management of Dai Nam University have assigned the Nursing Faculty to focus on upgrading modern, spacious nursing practice facilities with full and advanced equipment and models. The Faculty's training program has been built to meet ASEAN standards and officially applied since 2019. 70% of the professional documents on basic nursing science have been updated with Thailand; 80% of the documents on nursing practice have been renewed according to the skill standards of the North American Nursing Association.
In addition, Dai Nam University also pays special attention to international training cooperation activities to enhance and standardize the capacity of the teaching staff and provide internship and experience opportunities in a professional and modern environment, helping students confidently seek job opportunities with high and stable income after graduation.
