Items that are allowed and not allowed in the 2021 High School Graduation Exam Room

Below are the items that are allowed and not allowed to be brought into the 2021 high school graduation exam room according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Items allowed in the exam room
According to Article 14 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT, candidates are only allowed to bring the following items into the exam room:
- Pens, pencils, compasses, hands, rulers, calculators;
- Vietnam Geography Atlas for Geography exam (without any markings or additional content) published by Vietnam Education Publishing House;
- Types of audio and video recorders that only have the function of recording information but cannot listen, view, and cannot transmit or receive information, audio and visual signals directly without other supporting devices;
- Pocket computers do not have text editing functions, do not have memory cards to store data, and cannot transmit or receive information, audio signals, or images directly.
In particular, the list of some popular pocket calculators allowed to be brought into the exam room in the 2021 high school graduation exam according to Official Dispatch No. 1986/BGDĐT - ICT is:
- Casio FX-500 MS, FX-570 MS, FX-570ES Plus, FX-570VN Plus, FX580VN X;
- VinaCal 500MS, 570MS, 570ES Plus, 570ES Plus II, 570EX Plus, 680EX Plus;
- Catel NT CAVIET NT-570ES Plus II, NT-570ES Plus, NT-500MS, NT570VN Plus, NT-580EX, NT-570NS, NT-690VE X;
- Thien Long FX590VN Flexio, FX680VN Flexio; - Deli W1710, WD991ES; - Eras E370, E371, E372, E380;
- Vinaplus FX-580VNX PLUS II, FX-580 X;
and equivalent pocket calculators that meet the regulations.
What items are prohibited in the exam room?
Article 14 of the Examination Regulations stipulates that candidates are prohibited from bringing the following items into the examination room:
- Carbon paper, eraser, alcoholic beverages;
- Weapons and explosives, inflammable substances;
- Documents, devices that transmit or contain information that can be used to cheat during the exam and marking process.
How will candidates who bring prohibited items into the exam room be handled?
According to Clause 3, Article 54 of the Examination Regulations, in case a candidate is found bringing prohibited items into the examination room/waiting room or when moving between the examination room and the waiting room, the invigilator will make a record, collect the evidence and report to the Head of the Examination Site to decide on the form of suspension from the examination. If the Head of the Examination Site does not agree, the report will be sent to the Head of the Examination Board for decision.
After that, the candidate who is suspended from the exam must submit the exam paper, exam questions, and scratch paper to the exam supervisor, leave the exam room immediately after the decision is made, and may only leave the exam area when the exam time is over.
At the same time, candidates who are suspended from the exam will have their results for all exams/subjects in that year's exam canceled.
