“Joining Hands” with the Largest Japanese Language School in Southwestern Japan: DNU Students Experience Overseas Semesters from 6-12 Months with Impressive Salaries

To expand transnational learning and employment opportunities for students, Dai Nam University (DNU) continued to sign training cooperation agreements with GAG Japanese Language Institute – the largest Japanese language school in Southwestern Japan. This partnership implements international semester programs, sending students to Japan for internships and experiential learning with paid opportunities ranging from 06 months to 01 year.
Attending the signing ceremony, representatives from Dai Nam University included: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong – Rector; Ms. Le Thi Mai Phuong – Head of the Department of Scientific Management and Cooperation Development; Dr. Vu Thuy Nga – Head of the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture; along with faculty members, lecturers, and students from the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture.
Representing GAG Japanese Language Institute were: Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh – Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka, President of GAG Japanese Language Institute, and Advisor for International Cooperation Development; and Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung – Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong expressed confidence that this “handshake” between Dai Nam University and GAG Japanese Language Institute would enable students to integrate globally and become global citizens, opening up opportunities to work at major domestic and international corporations and enterprises.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong emphasized the university’s efforts to implement its strategy of educational internationalization.
What do students gain from this collaborative partnership?
Under this agreement, Dai Nam University and GAG Japanese Language Institute have agreed to cooperate on the following terms:
Second-year students from the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture will have the opportunity to participate in an international semester in Japan, lasting from 06 months to 01 year, to enhance their Japanese proficiency, deepen their understanding of Japanese culture, and gain direct exposure to the working environment of Japanese businesses.
The internship program, spanning from 06 months to 01 year, offers paid positions with a minimum salary of 15 million VND per month. Students’ credits will be recognized according to DNU regulations.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh emphasized: “GAG Japanese Language Institute is committed to partnering and creating every opportunity for Dai Nam University students to gain the maximum ‘benefits’ from this program.”

Currently, nearly 100 students from the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture at Dai Nam University are undertaking paid internships in Japan.
