GD&TĐ - Continuing propaganda work; focusing on implementing the program; proactively planning review; reviewing and completing 12th grade student records; allowing students to register for exam clusters... are the key contents that the Departments of Education and Training direct high schools to implement at this time to prepare for the 2015 national high school exam.

Hai Duong: 2 key tasks

Preparing for the 2015 national high school exam, Hai Duong focuses on two major contents: implementing the program, testing at the end of the second semester, and organizing review and preparation for the exam.

Mr. Luong Van Viet - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong - said: The Department of Education and Training has requested schools to inspect and review the entire implementation of the program in all grades, especially grade 12, so that the teaching plan is implemented correctly and fully, distributing the prescribed program, closely following the requirements of knowledge and skills standards.

Hai Duong Department of Education and Training has directed to unify the review time for the national high school exam for 12th grade students one week before the exam schedule.

The review plan and organization are developed by the Principals of the schools and the Director of the Center based on the review wishes of grade 12 students and the specific conditions of the school regarding education quality, teaching staff, facilities, and teaching equipment.

In particular, before the final exam of the second semester, all students must have enough minimum scores in all subjects according to the Regulations on assessment and classification of middle and high school students.

The final exam of the second semester must be carefully prepared, organized seriously, and in accordance with regulations. For grade 12 students, it is necessary to ensure that the scores and exam registration documents are completed on time according to regulations.

As for candidates who were not eligible to take the exam in previous years due to poor academic performance, if they wish to take the exam, the Department of Education and Training requires schools to organize for students to take the year-end exam in some subjects with an average score below 5.0 to recalculate the average score for the whole year and issue a certificate of reserved score to candidates who took the exam last year according to regulations.

According to Mr. Luong Van Viet, the organization of review and preparation for the upcoming national high school exam has been directed to schools by the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong.

Accordingly, it emphasizes the proactive role of schools in implementing preparations for the 2015 national high school exam.

Specifically, in addition to disseminating and studying the national high school exam regulations, schools focus on instructing and training students in test-taking skills, especially test-taking skills in the form of objective multiple-choice tests and open-ended questions in the direction of developing students' capacity;

Inform parents of students about their students' learning situation, especially students with poor academic performance who may not be eligible to take the exam, to coordinate and create the best conditions for students' learning and review;

Timely check, review, edit, and supplement personal records of students in grade 12 according to regulations. Provide guidance for students to be issued Identity Cards by the end of March 2015 at the latest.

School leaders are required to direct professional groups and subject teachers to proactively develop a review plan including:

Content, form, review time, reasonable time for self-study; organize training, tutoring for students, trainees with poor academic performance, foreign students, independent candidates who wish to review. Focus on guiding students to master knowledge in the direction of developing capacity, understanding to analyze, comment, apply,...

For social sciences and humanities, it is necessary to increase the requirement to apply knowledge into practice, increase open questions, and link them to current events of the homeland so that students can express their opinions on economic, political, and social issues;

For Foreign Languages, it is necessary to focus on teaching in the direction of developing communication skills with listening, speaking, reading, writing, and testing in both multiple-choice and essay forms;

Focus on compiling a system of questions and exercises with instructions and suggested appropriate answers, focusing on open questions, requiring students to know how to apply the answers; with exam questions, differentiation must be ensured.

Regarding review methods and approaches, the Department notes on choosing and flexibly and harmoniously combining many methods and approaches such as:

Review right during the teaching and learning process and implementation of the program and textbooks; review right after each lesson unit, focusing on guiding students to self-study to grasp each unit of knowledge; review by topic; review the synthesis of knowledge and skills of the entire general education program of each subject, mainly the 12th grade program. Absolutely do not guide students to memorize or study lopsidedly.

At the same time, combine students' self-assessment with testing, assessment in study groups and testing by subject teachers; focus on collecting students' feedback to promptly adjust review methods.

Another content that was also emphasized was the consulting work to help students register for the exam.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong requires close coordination between the Board of Directors, professional groups/teams, subject teachers, homeroom teachers, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Parents' Representative Board of the school and class to do a good job of consulting to help students register for the exam according to their abilities, qualifications and wishes;

In addition, it is necessary to arrange a reasonable review time, ensure students' health, review to achieve the best results but not cause overload.

Ninh Thuan: Focus on grasping information

The first important content emphasized by the Department of Education and Training to deploy preparations for the national high school exam is to require schools to immediately organize the dissemination and study of the two exam regulations for staff, teachers and 12th grade students.

In particular, the contents related to the process of participating in the national high school exam with two purposes: obtaining results for consideration of high school graduation recognition and providing data as a basis for university and college admissions must be publicly posted.

According to Mr. Luong Hong Son - Deputy Director of Ninh Thuan Department of Education and Training, along with the above requirements, the Department of Education and Training also requested schools to implement solutions to provide complete and accurate information on the 2015 Enrollment Project of universities and colleges nationwide; in which, focusing on universities and colleges in the South for 12th grade students.

At the same time, orient students to choose to register for graduation exams and to match the exam subject combinations used for admission to majors and groups of majors that universities and colleges wish to consider.

In addition, at this time, high schools and continuing education centers need to focus on completing the curriculum and teaching plan for the 2014-2015 school year; organizing review sessions for students; and providing guidance so that students can be issued Identity Cards by the end of March 2015 at the latest.

In addition, urgently organize the review and completion of 12th grade student records, ensuring compliance with the regulations on exam conditions in the national high school exam regulations.

The Department also requires schools to assign specific tasks to each relevant individual to promptly and properly implement all regulations in the exam organization process, promptly complete exam registration data, and high school graduation recognition registration data according to the general work schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Son La: Organize for students to register for the exam

Among the 6 important tasks that the Son La Department of Education and Training requires high schools and continuing education centers to carry out in preparation for the 2015 national high school exam, there is an emphasis on organizing for students to register for the exam according to exam clusters.

Accordingly, the exam cluster is chaired by the university, including candidates taking the exam to consider recognition of high school graduation and admission to university and college;

The exam cluster is chaired by the Department of Education and Training, including candidates taking the exam to be considered for recognition of high school graduation.

In addition to this content, the Department of Education and Training of Son La also requires schools to organize for all cadres, managers, teachers, service staff and students to study and learn the regulations carefully;

At the same time, guide students in choosing and registering for exams; organize the issuance of ID cards for students and count the number of rooms and classrooms that can be used as exam rooms to organize exams.

Schools need to report the number of students taking the exam in each cluster and the number of exam rooms to the Department; continuing education centers need to report on their wishes to choose an exam subject instead of Foreign Language.

Students can only register for one exam cluster.

The Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh requested units with students participating in the 2015 national high school exam in the area to report the number of students registering for the 2015 national high school exam. It should be noted that students can only register for one exam cluster.

Accordingly, the Vinh University exam cluster organizes for candidates who use university and college admission registration results; the Ha Tinh exam cluster organizes for candidates who only consider graduation, not using university and college admission results.
