Law Faculty Student Scientific Research Conference for the 2021-2022 Academic Year: Many topics are applicable and have humanistic significance

In order to promote the scientific research movement of students, recently, the Faculty of Law, Dai Nam University successfully organized the Student Scientific Research Conference for the 2021-2022 academic year, attracting the participation of a large number of students with many quality reports that closely followed reality.

Dr. Do Gia Thu - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

The 2021-2022 student scientific research conference was organized by the Faculty of Law, Dai Nam University. The conference was attended by the Board of Directors and all staff, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Law, Dai Nam University.

Speaking at the opening of the Scientific Research Conference, Dr. Do Gia Thu - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law emphasized: "Scientific research activities are increasingly focused on by the school, considered a mandatory task for the specialized faculties in the school. Scientific research not only helps students grasp knowledge but also access more theoretical and practical knowledge through many different information channels: through lectures in class, research documents, books, newspapers on the Internet, or practical products in life... Thereby helping students develop and practice creative thinking skills, independent work and teamwork. At the same time, students develop and practice soft skills, including presentation skills, to defend their research topics, building their own luggage with achievements and job opportunities after graduation".

The Scientific Research Conference for the 2021-2022 academic year attracted the attention of many staff, lecturers and students in the faculty.

The conference was attended by experienced Doctors, Masters, and Lawyers in the Law industry who are currently members of the Jury. In addition, this year, students of the Faculty of Law brought to the Scientific Research Conference 22 high-quality scientific reports with profound social significance.

A group of students presented their research topic "Labor Law and the protection of female workers' rights".

At the Conference, students presented, discussed and debated openly and frankly many issues from legal doctrine, civil and commercial transactions to specialized issues such as intellectual property, cyber security, e-commerce, international arbitration and digital economic law... It can be said that this year's topics were quite attractive when they "breathed life" into students' concerns to propose legal solutions for the most important goal of "bringing the law closer to life" and "becoming a shield, a strong fortress" to protect justice, fairness and social order. From issues such as "Same-sex marriage and acceptance of same-sex marriage in Vietnam" ; " Applying trade defense measures to imported goods - Challenges for Vietnam" ; "Rights of internet users according to the provisions of the current Cyber Security Law in Vietnam" ; “Copyright protection under the ROME Convention in Vietnam” ; …

It can be affirmed that, from the way of choosing the above very current and humane topics, students of the Faculty of Law, Dai Nam University not only show their sensitivity to current issues but also prove that future lawyers are very concerned about life and always want to come up with legal solutions to protect and develop society.

4th year students of DNU Faculty of Law actively participate in scientific research activities.

In addition, the large number of students participating in scientific research not only proves the attraction of the Faculty of Law, but also shows that the scientific research movement is truly becoming one of the brands of students of the Faculty of Law, Dai Nam University. Through scientific research activities, students not only learn and practice the ability to detect and present scientific problems, approach research methods but also help students become more mature in their writing, arguments as well as defending their views - indispensable for every lawyer.

According to the assessment of the Student Scientific Report Evaluation Council, this year's Conference was particularly impressive and left many good impressions. All reports were excellent, with brave and interesting explanations and arguments. The Council members had a very difficult time choosing the winning reports according to the award structure.

First prize went to a group of students presenting the topic: "Same-sex marriage and acceptance of same-sex marriage in Vietnam"

Final results: 1 report won first prize (Topic "Same-sex marriage and acceptance of same-sex marriage in Vietnam" ); 3 reports won second prize (Topic " Theoretical and practical issues on adoption with foreign elements in Vietnam" ; "Representation of parties in labor relations under the 2019 Labor Code" ; "Labor Law and the protection of female workers' rights" ); 4 reports won third prize (Topic "Copyright protection under the ROME Convention in Vietnam" ; "Law on the annulment of illegal marriages and non-recognition of marital relations" ; "Applying trade defense measures to imported goods - Challenges for Vietnam" ; "Rights of internet users under the provisions of the current Law on Cyber Security in Vietnam" ).

The 2021-2022 Student Scientific Research Conference of the Faculty of Law is an attractive event, playing an important role in encouraging the spirit of scientific research of students, contributing knowledge to the treasure of legal science in particular and scientific knowledge in general.
