Hello to all K11 freshmen - Dai Nam University. So you have officially become freshmen of the University. How do you feel now? Have you prepared anything for the next four years at the University? Surely you still regret the past summer, the intense National High School Exam with so much waiting, hope and then coming to Dai Nam. Now is the time for us to prepare for a new journey that promises a lot of passion, explosion and miracles that we will shine together. Are you ready?

PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THE FIRST CONFUSES AND “DO IT YOURSELF”

Every summer is a new admission season, a new beginning for new students. I still remember the first day of freshman year, when I first went to school with my father to do the admission procedures, I still didn't understand what university was? I still remember the first days of school, studying in the same class with many strange friends from many different provinces. We shared with each other the homesickness of studying far away, then I started to live an independent life: studying alone without anyone reminding me every night, waking up early, preparing everything by myself, cooking by myself... that helped me grow up a lot.

AWAY FROM FAMILY, HOW SHOULD WE INTEGRATE?

Entering the university lecture hall means we have come to a new learning environment, very different from when we were in high school. At university, teachers are the ones who show us the way. We have to study a lot more by ourselves than in class by finding and preparing materials according to the instructions and suggestions of teachers. Self-study is not only from books but also from life through communication, work and self-observation to draw experience. When we go to university, we will no longer be able to study with our old friends from high school, so new students should boldly make friends inside and outside the classroom. Because having friends will motivate us to study more and when we encounter difficulties in studying as well as in daily life, friends will help us a lot.

WHAT ABOUT ACCOMMODATION?

Vi Ngoc Ha: For students living far from home, accommodation is also a concern. In my opinion, the school dormitory has 240 very comfortable and airy rooms, located on campus at Phu Lam campus, so it is very convenient for students to study and travel. In the area around the school, there are also many houses for rent, if you need to find a room, you can contact the School Union for support.

AND OUR TEACHERS?

Hoang Thao: The lucky thing about studying at DNU is that I have friends and teachers who have been by my side for the past three years. I am grateful to them. We often blame our teachers for giving difficult questions, for having too many exercises or for asking tricky questions during presentations. But now that I think back, I understand one thing: this is our first time studying at university, but it is also the first time our teachers have taught our class with that subject. They also have many concerns, what methods to use to suit each generation. To say one thing about the teachers at school, I feel a sense of closeness, love and responsibility.

AT DAI NAM, WHAT ACTIVITIES DO WE HAVE?
Hoang Thao: At my school, there are many clubs: Volunteer Student Club, Entrepreneurship Student Club, Guitar Club, Dance Club... where you can unleash your creativity and contribute your efforts to school activities. In order for students to be more confident and active, you will also learn soft skills. In addition, you also have the opportunity to participate in annual programs such as: camping, welcoming November 20, opening ceremony to welcome new students and singing and dancing competitions... opportunities for you to fully demonstrate your talents. Please confidently register to participate according to your strengths.

WHAT EXTREMELY MEANINGFUL THINGS ARE WAITING FOR THE NEW STUDENTS OF K11?

Vi Ngoc Ha: The event to welcome new students and the biggest event this year, the 10th Anniversary of the School's founding, is coming soon. I still remember three years ago, I was like you all now: confused, shy, everything was new. But the gala night to welcome new students was like a connecting thread that helped us integrate and feel warmly welcomed here. It is very lucky for the new students, that you are entering the school this year, marking the 10th anniversary of our school's founding. This school year will have many meaningful and wonderful events waiting for you, in my opinion.

So, new students, don't worry, just keep a relaxed mind to experience new and interesting things that you have never tried, don't miss the opportunity to challenge yourself. Create beautiful memories for yourself as a student. Becoming a new student, living far from family, having to be independent, so we should pay attention to our health, live on time, avoid staying up late to ensure good health to study and achieve the best results.
