Meeting with parents of students of the Faculty of Economic Law, course 9: Discussion on training methods and job opportunities

The Faculty of Economic Law, Dai Nam University was established under Decision No. 452/QD-BGDT, dated February 10, 2015 of the Ministry of Education and Training. In order to create conditions for parents and especially students to understand more about the teaching and learning methods of Dai Nam University as well as to share with parents to better understand the feelings as well as the coordination between family and school to create a solid foundation for students after graduation. With the consent of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Board of Directors, on the morning of October 4, 2015, at the 1st floor Hall, Phu Lam campus, Ha Dong, the Faculty of Economic Law organized the program "Meeting with parents of students of Economic Law course 9, discussion on learning methods and job opportunities in the law industry".

Attending the program were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors; Associate Professor Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the School; Associate Professor Dr. Bui Xuan Duc - Head of the Faculty of Economic Law... along with teachers in the Board of Directors, leaders of the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Foreign Languages. Especially, there was the presence of many parents of students of the Faculty of Economic Law, who came from far away provinces and cities to attend the discussion.

Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors sent his deep thanks to the parents who arranged their time to travel a long distance to attend the seminar. He emphasized: " Dear parents! Economic Law is a new faculty, but the School always pays special attention and is responsible for the students of the Faculty of Law. Right from the first years, Dai Nam students in general, and Law students in particular, will be prepared with a foundation of professional knowledge, foreign languages and legal practice skills, creating a solid foundation for them after graduation".

Following the program, teachers in the Foreign Language Department discussed with students and parents about effective English learning methods; along with activities to help students practice foreign language learning skills. Ms. Pham Thi Oanh - Deputy Head of the Foreign Language Department raised some questions, helping students to better understand the importance of English and the best way to learn English.

Directly witnessing their children studying and participating in activities that combine learning and playing with teachers and friends, parents feel very secure. Mr. Tran Hong Son (Deputy Director of Tan Hong Minh Group), parent of Doan Minh Tu, class LKT 09-01, shared: “ I really like the way the school educates students. The training method combining theory with practice plus the soft skills subject of the school has helped the children become more active. Knowledge, English and skills are necessary conditions to help children have jobs. I believe that I, like many parents sitting here, are completely right in entrusting our children to Dai Nam University .”

In addition to sharing their difficulties, the parents also expressed their gratitude for the dedication and devotion of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the School Board of Management. “Thank you to the School for creating conditions for us parents to meet and participate in the discussion with the teachers. The parents and I will create conditions and coordinate with the school to educate the children. The children also need to try hard to study so as not to disappoint their parents and the teachings of the teachers . ” Ms. Do Thi Thu Hien, parent of Doam Minh Tu, shared.

Right at the beginning of the new school year, the Faculty of Economic Law established a Skills Development Club. Although it has only been a month, the club has been very active, with the participation of many students. In addition, the Faculty of Economic Law also has clubs: Culture and Arts, Sports, Presentation, Martial Arts; in the near future, the faculty will establish an English Club. Regarding this issue, student Vo Si Thanh Dat shared: “ I used to study at a public university, but when studying at Dai Nam, I realized that the school's training method shows a difference from public schools. The school's teaching method helps me apply theory right in the classroom. In particular, participating in the faculty's clubs has helped me become more confident and develop my own skills."

Meeting parents is an annual activity at all levels from kindergarten to high school. However, at intermediate, college and university levels, this is an activity that rarely takes place due to geographical distance. However, at Dai Nam University, it is different. With the goal of becoming a friendly university, the Board of Directors and the Board of Management always try to arrange work and coordinate with parents to have meetings and exchanges. Not only so that parents can know the school their children study at, know about the training methods, as well as the goals and strategic orientations of the school. But the Board of Directors and the Board of Management also want to share difficulties with parents and motivate their students and children to study well.
