Ministry of Education and Training: 2023 enrollment starts in July, earlier than previous years

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Director of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training) said that this year, candidates will register online on the Ministry of Education and Training's Admissions Portal or the National Public Service Portal.

Candidates can register unlimited number of wishes and arrange their wishes from top to bottom. During the registration period, candidates can adjust their wishes to suit and increase their chances of being admitted.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, from 2023, schools must announce their own admission plans and regulations. The school's admission regulations must specify the regulations of the Ministry. In addition, schools must announce this information 30 days before candidates register.

The Ministry of Education and Training will maintain the same admission regulations as previous years. It is expected that the 2023 admission plan will be announced in February, earlier than every year so that candidates can start the school year in September 2023.

Thus, it is expected that candidates will start registering for admission in July 2023. Candidates should note that currently, schools organize many different admission methods; in which, many schools organize early admission.

In addition to registering directly at schools, after receiving the admission results, if qualified, candidates must still register on the ministry's admission portal for virtual filtering.

This year, the Ministry of Education and Training continues to announce the threshold to ensure input quality for health sectors with practice certificates and Pedagogy after the high school exam results are available, Ms. Thuy added.

Currently, many universities have begun to announce receiving applications for admission in 2023 using early admission methods.

Early admission is the use of admission methods that do not use high school graduation exam scores, in which universities receive applications and announce admission results (conditional admission) before the high school graduation exam, including: considering high school transcripts, competency assessment test scores, separate admission, priority admission... The results are only officially recognized after candidates meet the requirements to graduate from high school. That is, candidates participating in early admission still have to wait for the final virtual filtering results.

This year, schools have reserved many quotas for early admission. For example, Nguyen Tat Thanh University has reserved up to 60% of its quota for early admission methods, including 40% for considering academic records. 20% for considering the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, and direct admission, priority admission...

University of Economics and Finance reserves up to 70% of the quota for considering academic records, including considering grade 12 academic records based on a combination of three subjects (30%) and considering academic records based on the total average score of three semesters (40%).
