Overview of the Traditional Camping Program - For a green future of Dai Nam University.
The event aims to educate awareness and raise responsibility for environmental protection among staff, lecturers and students; deeply spread the message of joining hands to fight global climate change in the community; respond to Earth Day April 22, 2021 and World Environment Day May 6, 2021.
Ms. Cao Thi Hoa launched a school-wide movement to use personal water bottles to completely replace plastic bottles.
The traditional camp – For a green future had the participation of more than 700 officers, lecturers, staff and 10,000 students.
Accordingly, teachers and students of Dai Nam University have joined together in the following activities: Environmental protection campaign - cleaning and planting more than 400 trees on campus; collecting more than 10,000 used plastic bottles, setting a record with the project of making a globe from recycled waste to convey the message "collect and say goodbye to plastic waste"; camping competition on the environmental theme; flashmob dancing, team building on the environmental theme; student career orientation camp...

Sharing about the program, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal, Head of the Movement Committee of Dai Nam University said: “Everyone says the environment is heavily polluted but no one asks why the environment is polluted? Environmental pollution and global climate change are caused by us humans. Through the program, teachers and students of Dai Nam University hope to spread the message “one more person picking up trash, one less person littering”. We can protect the environment together, protect our own lives and those of our descendants with the smallest things in our daily lives, such as: sorting waste at home, throwing trash in the right place, limiting the use of plastic bags, using personal water bottles, saying no to single-use plastic items…”

In 2019, Dai Nam University officially announced in writing that it would completely eliminate plastic bottles in its school activities. Up to this point, Dai Nam University is still the only university in Hanoi that resolutely says “no” to plastic bottles in its school activities.

At the end of the program, with the camping award category, the Organizing Committee selected the best departments to award. First prize went to the Department of Construction - Architecture; Second prize went to the Department of English Language, Chinese Language and Culture; Third prize went to the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Communication and the Department of Nursing; Encouragement prizes went to the Departments of Pharmacy, Information Technology, Japanese Language and Culture, Lao students - Department of National Defense.
In the team building category, first prize went to the Faculty of Business Administration, second prize went to the Faculty of Information Technology, and third prize went to the Faculty of Nursing.
