“My Vietnam - My Tour” - Pack your bags and go with the contest organized by the Faculty of Tourism, Dai Nam University
While countries around the world are still suffering the severe consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam has basically controlled the epidemic. Economic - political - social activities, including tourism, are gradually returning to normal. This is a great effort by the Government and the entire population in the spirit of "fighting the epidemic like fighting the enemy". Thus, compared to people in countries with epidemics, the Vietnamese people are much luckier and happier and, in particular, can pack their suitcases and travel to every corner of the country.
Developing our country's tourism in the new normal context after the Covid-19 pandemic is: "Vietnamese people travel to Vietnam". In fact, we can be extremely proud that right on this S-shaped land, there are beautiful landscapes, cultures, cuisines, and people that are extremely unique and impressive that not everyone has discovered...
Responding to the policy of “Vietnamese people travel to Vietnam”; introducing and promoting scenic spots, cultural beauty, cuisine, and people in regions to contribute to stimulating domestic tourism; building a good image in the tourism student community; forming pride in the young generation about the country and people of Vietnam, the Faculty of Tourism - Dai Nam University organizes the contest “My Vietnam - My tour” with a total prize of up to 33 million VND.
1. Contest content
My Vietnam – My tour is a letter writing and video clip making contest introducing the scenic spots, cultural beauty, cuisine, and people of Vietnam. From there, it invites and stimulates people to travel domestically instead of traveling abroad to stimulate domestic tourism.
2. Contest participants
All students from high schools, colleges and universities nationwide, regardless of gender or religion, can participate in the contest.
3. Time for receiving entries and awarding prizes
- The preliminary round will take place from May 30, 2020 to July 30, 2020.
- The final round will take place from August 5, 2020 to August 12, 2020.
- The award ceremony is scheduled for August 15, 2020.
4. How to participate in the contest
Contestants submit entries with the theme of introducing: Culture, cuisine, landscapes, heritage of the country and people of Vietnam to tourists in the form of an invitation letter to travel domestically after the Covid epidemic has been controlled.
Contest entries are presented in 02 forms:
- Writing a letter: Candidates write a letter of no more than 1000 words, typed on A4 size, left margin 3cm, right margin 2.5cm, top margin 2cm, bottom margin 2cm, line spacing 1.5 lines, font size 14.
- Video editing: Candidates record their own video clip (or edit from photos) no longer than 3 minutes long, with the logo of Dai Nam University and the logo of the Sponsor (if any).
- Note:
+ Candidates can write letters in Vietnamese or foreign languages (in case students write in foreign languages, they must send a Vietnamese translation).
+ The entries that pass the preliminary round will be officially posted on the Faculty of Tourism's fanpage to compete in the final round.
Candidates can submit their exam in one of the following ways:
- Candidates submit hard copies of their entries directly to: Faculty of Tourism - Dai Nam University, 56 Vu Trong Phung, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi. Phone: 0975813130, before July 30, 2020.
- Candidates submit their exam papers by express mail to the address: Faculty of Tourism - Dai Nam University, 56 Vu Trong Phung, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi. Phone: 0975813130, before July 30, 2020 (according to the postmark)
- Candidates submit soft copies to email address: vietthu.dulich.dnu@gmail.com (candidates are encouraged to submit soft copies)
- Regarding the content of the article: Candidates fill in full personal information including full name, class, department, school, address, and contact phone number in both hard and soft copies.
Note: Contestants are responsible for the copyright of their contest content; the Organizing Committee decides when to upload contestants' contest content; the Organizing Committee has the right to remove contestants' entries that do not meet requirements, violate the law, or go against public morality. Contestants who submit their entries as soon as possible will have an advantage in voting time.
V. How to calculate points
- Round 1: The jury will conduct a preliminary review to select the works that will enter the final round.
- Round 2: The final round will be judged in the following format:
