The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a document guiding the implementation of the regulations for the national high school exam and graduation recognition in 2018. Accordingly, the 2018 national high school exam will take place from June 25 to 27.

The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a document guiding the implementation of the regulations for the national high school exam and graduation recognition in 2018. Accordingly, the 2018 national high school exam will take place from June 25 to 27.

Specifically, candidates taking the 2018 national high school exam must take 5 exams, including 3 independent exams: Math, Literature, Foreign Language and 2 combined exams: Natural Sciences (a combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology; abbreviated as KHTN), Social Sciences (a combination of History, Geography, Civic Education for candidates studying the high school education program; a combination of History, Geography for candidates studying the high school continuing education program; abbreviated as KHXH).

To be considered for recognition of high school graduation, candidates studying the high school education program (referred to as high school education candidates) must take 4 exams, including 3 independent exams: Math, Literature, Foreign Language and 1 exam chosen by the candidate from 2 combined exams; candidates studying the high school continuing education program (referred to as continuing education candidates) must take 3 exams, including 2 independent exams: Math, Literature and 1 exam 2 chosen by the candidate from 2 combined exams.

Candidates can register to take both combined exams, the higher score of the combined exam will be selected to calculate the score for high school graduation recognition. Note: Candidates who have registered to take both combined exams are required to take both exams; if the candidate skips one of the two exams, it will be considered as not taking enough exams and will not be considered for high school graduation recognition.

GDTX candidates can choose to take the Foreign Language exam, the score of this exam is used for admission to universities, colleges, and vocational schools; it is not used to calculate the score for recognition of high school graduation. - To be considered for admission to universities, colleges, and vocational schools, candidates who have graduated from high school must take independent exams, combined exams, or component subjects of a combined exam, in accordance with the combination of exams, subjects for admission to the major, group of majors according to the regulations of the university, college, or vocational school.

Math, Foreign Language and Combined Exams: are in the form of objective multiple choice tests (abbreviated as multiple choice tests). Literature Exam: is in the form of essay tests.
