With the aim of continuing and promoting the tradition of physical education and sports, improving health and physical training for students; responding to the movement activities to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Dai Nam University (November 14, 2007 - November 14, 2022); on the morning of October 29, the "Dai Nam Cup 2022" Football Tournament officially opened, promising an attractive, fiery and exciting tournament.

“Dai Nam Cup” is an annual football tournament organized by the Youth Union of Dai Nam University. Returning after 2 years of delay due to the pandemic, “Dai Nam Cup 2022” attracted 48 men’s football teams and 12 women’s football teams to register to compete. Notably, this year’s football tournament also has the participation of the Staff - Lecturer team of Dai Nam University.

The "Dai Nam Cup 2022" tournament has 01 team of Staff - Lecturers, 48 men's football teams and 12 women's teams.

In his opening speech, Mr. Vu Dang Tuan Anh - Secretary of the Youth Union, Head of the Organizing Committee said: "Dai Nam Cup" is a healthy playground, maintaining and encouraging the spirit of sports training and competition to serve the study and training of students. At the same time, this is an opportunity for students to meet, exchange and learn from each other, strengthen the spirit of solidarity and cooperation between students of the Faculties in the School; thereby promoting the movement to become more and more exciting and develop strongly in the work of the Youth Union.

In particular, this is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Dai Nam University and the 40th Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2022).

"I hope that the players participating in this year's tournament will be very enthusiastic with a spirit of solidarity, exchange, nobility, honesty and receive an even more enthusiastic response from the fans," said comrade Vu Dang Tuan Anh.

Comrade Vu Dang Tuan Anh gave the opening speech and instructed the teams and players.

Sharing at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Dinh Quang Hung - Vice Principal acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Youth Union of Dai Nam University in playing a pioneering role in the activities of the University.

He shared: “Dai Nam Cup 2022 is a meaningful activity, improving the health and training spirit of students, creating a beautiful cultural feature in the school's sports. I hope that the players will fight with all their might, giving the audience good plays and beautiful goals, contributing to the success of the tournament”.

Mr. Dinh Quang Hung shared, encouraged and motivated the teams.

To encourage the competitive spirit of the teams, coach Dinh Quang Hung awarded 6 million VND in personal sponsorship to comrade Vu Dang Tuan Anh. This award will be given to the first-place male/female team of this year's season, each team will receive 3 million VND.

Player Tran Thien Quang represented the teams to read the oath.

Referee Nguyen Trung Dung read the oath on behalf of the referee team.

Comrade Vu Dang Tuan Anh presented a souvenir flag to the referee team.

Right after the Opening Ceremony, the first matches of the group stage took place with great tension and drama. The beautiful passes, skillful “strikers” and the mastery of the “game” on the field made the audience satisfied.

No longer weak girls, the female players entered the match fiercely.

In the end, in group A, the "newbie" Pharmacy 16-02,03,04 won a devastating 7-0 victory over the "senior" IT 13-02; in group B, the representative of the Chinese Faculty of Foreign Languages and Culture defeated the "junior" KHMT with a score of 11-1; group C witnessed the 6-3 victory of the Pharmacy team 12-01,03,08 against the Staff - Lecturer team; in group D, the "wild wolves" IT 15-03 were evenly matched against the "lions" LKT 15-01,02 with a score of 1-1.
