“Culture is a solid foundation for Dai Nam University to change its mindset to break through and realize the core goals of the University…” That is the affirmation of Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council in the program “Welcoming the Year of the Dragon 2024 - Training key staff of Dai Nam University”, on February 18, 2024 (ie January 9 of the lunar calendar) in Moc Chau - Son La.

Nearly 100 key leaders attended the training session in Moc Chau district - Son La "Deepening DNU culture and strategic actions of Dai Nam University in the new period".

At the program, on behalf of the University Council, Dr. Le Dac Son sent New Year greetings to the key leaders and their families. At the same time, he affirmed that the key leaders are the extended arm of the University Council and the Board of Directors in deepening the DNU culture; gradually realizing the goals for Dai Nam University to develop strongly and sustainably.

Dr. Le Dac Son presented the message and actions of Dai Nam University in the new period.

Development strategy – DNU's "desired future" in the new development stage

Sharing about the development strategy of Dai Nam University in the new period, Dr. Le Dac Son said: Dai Nam University is a multidisciplinary training school developing in the direction of Application - Entrepreneurship and Innovation; taking the health sector as the core training axis; taking the economic, science - technology sectors as the vanguard in the process of change to make a breakthrough.

Dai Nam University sets the goal: To reach a training scale of 25,000 students in the 2027-2028 school year and 45,000 students in the 2037-2038 school year. To develop into a university with the highest average income of staff, lecturers and employees among Vietnamese universities.

Imbued with ideology, culture, and action strategies to unite for the strong development of the School.

To do that, Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized the need for unity, consensus, and unanimity of all members of the Dai Nam common home. Especially, the key leadership team.

What should the key leadership team do?

Improving the leadership capacity of key staff, including members of the Board of Directors; leaders of faculties, departments, offices, institutes, centers, etc. is a key task of Dai Nam University.

Personnel that are in line with the school's core ideology are its most valuable "asset".

“Dai Nam University is especially proud of its key leadership team of professors, doctors, and young scientists. The majority are of working age, so they are always full of dynamism, enthusiasm, and aspiration, which is very consistent with the school's ideology of contributing and building Dai Nam University into a large university, developing forever, contributing to the country's common education cause. This is the valuable asset of DNU,” emphasized Dr. Le Dac Son.

He also pointed out the necessary qualities of the key leadership team, including:

Qualities 1: Must be an extremely ambitious person, but that ambition must first be for DNU to grow, develop, and survive, and then for personal benefit.

Quality 2: DNU's key staff always show two sides: humility and will; modesty and tenacity; with the mindset of dedicating themselves to the most wonderful development of DNU.

Quality 3: Unwavering determination to “give up what should not be done” and “do what must be done”. Leaders must have the same “fierce” desire in mind, which is the desire to bring excellent results to the School.

Quality 4: Do not blame subordinates and others. Dare to take responsibility for yourself to overcome weaknesses.

Focus all resources to attract and develop a team of qualified lecturers in accordance with Dai Nam University's criteria.

Identifying the teaching staff as the key to continuously improve the quality of training, build the reputation and brand of the School, Dai Nam University focuses all resources to attract and develop a team of dedicated, professional, highly qualified and skilled lecturers who are enthusiastic coaches for students.

With the unity of mind and heart of all members of the Dai Nam family, the impossible will certainly become possible.
