The resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic is causing negative impacts on all areas of social life, but at the same time creating a huge "boost" for the digital economy, the core of which is e-commerce. Developing a "platform economy" is considered an effective solution to successfully carry out the dual task of both economic development and disease prevention. This is a golden opportunity for students majoring in E-commerce 4.0. On that basis, Dai Nam University affirms to train students majoring in E-commerce to become personnel contributing to the National Digital Transformation, developing the Platform Economy, E-commerce 4.0 to form a Digital Nation.

Faculty of E-commerce and Information Technology, Dai Nam University, met online with new students of K15 who passed the first round of admission.

E-commerce - a field of study that says "no" to all contexts and the most difficult situations

According to the CEO of Lazada Vietnam and Thailand: “E-commerce in Vietnam is the fastest growing market (number 1 in Southeast Asia) in terms of both supply and demand. The proof is that Lazada's business figures in the second quarter doubled. In particular, during the period of strict social distancing, the number of orders in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi increased 3 times…”

This shows that by studying E-commerce, students can “say no” to the most difficult contexts and situations. The most important thing is E-commerce 4.0, Dai Nam University will focus on training students in professional skills so that they can adapt to all conditions and challenges in life as well as in their careers.

E-commerce will develop on 3 important factors: Policy, technology and people. Human resources in the e-commerce industry are currently in serious shortage, especially for a country with rapid e-commerce growth like Vietnam.

“In the content of Resolution 52 of the Politburo, Digital Economy is one of the three pillars in the policy of proactively participating in the Industrial Revolution 4.0, by 2025, Digital Economy will account for 20% of GDP, and by 2030, it will be 30%,” Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien - Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission shared.

DNU E-Commerce Students Earn Income From Digital Business From First Year

Another very special thing is that when coming to Dai Nam, students will be trained in an applied practice orientation, focusing on real-life training and they can earn income from digital business right from the first year. This aspiration is extremely legitimate because in the context of the developing digital economy, online sales are the most effective today. First-year students can absolutely be the choice of ordering for business CEOs who want to develop the e-commerce sector.

Accordingly, in September 2021, 3 businesses were ready to sponsor excellent students of the Faculty of E-commerce and Digital Economy, DNU, right from the first year to create online products for the 4.0 e-commerce industry and platform economy.

The Faculty of E-commerce and Digital Economy of Dai Nam University affirms: “E-commerce is the core content in the digital economy. Studying E-commerce is a very smart choice and studying E-commerce at Dai Nam University is the most correct choice…”
