Practical experience at 03 businesses: Accounting students "harvest" knowledge, skills, and career opportunities

Training according to the “classroom – business” model, creating a bridge for students to quickly approach businesses, orient their careers and expand employment opportunities is one of the characteristics of the Accounting Department of Dai Nam University. Recently, students of the department had a field trip and practical experience at leading businesses in Vietnam.

The Faculty of Accounting has taken students to visit, experience and study at MISA Joint Stock Company, BRAVO Software Joint Stock Company, and Enterprise Management Software Joint Stock Company (FAST). All three of these companies are strategic partners of the Faculty of Accounting, Dai Nam University; coordinating practical training for students through experiential activities, practice, and internships at businesses; cooperating in career guidance and recruitment activities; sponsoring free Accounting practice software, etc.

During this field trip, Accounting students learned about the company’s history, products/services, culture, recruitment positions, and internship opportunities. Students also visited and interacted in specialized departments, “witnessed” projects, accessed ERP software for corporations and multinationals; directly discussed with experienced speakers, etc. Thereby, they had a comprehensive view of the industry and recruitment needs of businesses.

Mr. Phan Dang Thuc - Team Leader of Technical Deployment Department 6, BRAVO Software JSC affirmed: Any business, big or small, regardless of the field, always needs accounting staff. Therefore, the opportunities and future of this industry domestically and internationally are extremely open, the income level of this industry is also extremely attractive.

“Although we only met them for a short time, we found that Accounting students from Dai Nam University are very agile, dynamic, have good expertise, are eager to learn, and are eager to learn… This is a big “plus” for them when applying to businesses, including BRAVO,” Mr. Phan Dang Thuc shared.

Nguyen Tram Anh – student of class KT 14.01 expressed: “Through the trip, I have a better understanding of the environment, culture and recruitment standards of the business. From there, I can build a plan and roadmap to strive to have a good job after graduation and become a good citizen”.

Tran Hong Nhung – student of class KT 14.01 shared: “Practical experience at businesses is one of the activities I like most at the Accounting Department of Dai Nam University. Each trip helps me have a clearer view of my future career and working environment. Thereby, it fosters my love for Accounting, creating motivation to study and practice”.

Le Thi Khanh Huyen – student of class KT 14.01 shared: “I believe that the training program associated with practice – reality of the Accounting faculty will be a solid stepping stone for us when entering the labor market and conquering employers. I hope that the Faculty and the School will organize more experience sessions like this so that we can accumulate more knowledge, skills and experience”.

Visiting and experiencing real life at enterprises is a necessary and urgent activity for students. Thereby, creating conditions for students to approach and learn practically, contributing to strengthening the close relationship between the School - enterprises - students. In the coming time, the Faculty of Accounting will further promote practical activities for students.
