Practical training helps students confidently apply in practice.

Learning too much theory in a field that requires practical experience such as Public Relations or Multimedia Communications is certainly not a suitable model. Understanding that, the Faculty of Communications has long applied an application-oriented training model, that is, 70% practice and 30% theory. This model helps students have the clearest view of the industry through practical exercises, and gain practical experience through internships at businesses and press agencies right from the first year.
Communication students experience running real events.
Specifically, for the event organization subject, students will directly participate in the stages before, during and after the actual event. From there, they will apply and plan to organize events in groups to complete the subject. As one of the lucky students who got involved in the event industry after participating in practical experience activities, Thu Ha - a 4th year student shared: "Learning combined with practice helps me a lot. After studying the event organization subject, I knew the steps to plan an event to make it most successful. Besides, doing events helps train personality and have quicker reactions. Sometimes, I also take on the role of MC of the program. However, the most special thing is that after participating in the operations at the events, I found the path I wanted to pursue."

Not only events, in other subjects at the Faculty of Communication, students also have practical exercises that are practiced in real life, not just limited to the classroom.

As a student who effectively applies practical exercises to real communication activities. Thu Lan - a second-year student of the Faculty of Communication, commented: “I really enjoy studying the subjects in class, especially impressed with Ms. Hanh's PR writing skills course and Mr. Thang's Basic Marketing course. In the lectures, the teachers always give very practical examples. In each group work hour, the teachers point out each mistake as well as what is not right, so I am very interested in these two subjects. In particular, these two subjects help me a lot in my current job in the Content Creator field.”

Not only sharing about the subjects, Thu Lan also shared about the lecturers of the Faculty of Communication: "In addition to the knowledge that the teachers provide in the classroom, the teachers also help me a lot. As a new student without much experience, sometimes when I have difficulties at work, I often ask the teachers, thanks to that, I have positive changes and am more mature than my peers."
Practicing in subjects not only helps students hone their skills and experience but also helps them find their strengths and the direction that is truly suitable for them.
