Business Administration is one of the popular management training majors in today's market economy. Business Administration studies the basic theories and general methods of principles and management activities of enterprises, regardless of whether they are private, state-owned or non-governmental, and mainly revolves around two main aspects: building business strategies and managing organizational behavior.

The first problem when it comes to Business Administration, you may have heard someone say that "Studying Management means you can do everything" because of the large amount of knowledge, but there are also people who say that "everything" without specialized knowledge will make it difficult to find a job after graduation. So what is your opinion? The answer is that each study program has its own strengths. Imagine how many people are needed to run a business and how many experts are needed in different fields?

Before we get into it, let's visualize the internal situation of a business:

1. Tax season is here, how should I file my taxes?

YES! I need an Accountant

2. So many bright resumes are thrown into my inbox, how do I choose the right employee?

YES! I need human resources

3. My product is great, but why doesn't anyone understand it?

YES! I need someone who understands Marketing

4. Everyone is discounting, what should I do? Should I sell it cheaper than everyone else?

YES! I need someone who understands economics.

5. Is it time to develop a new product? So many opinions but which product will sell well?

YES! I need someone who understands product planning.

6. I have more and more orders, should I buy new equipment or stop taking orders?

YES! I need someone who understands operations management.

The “broad” nature of Business Administration is that it teaches you how to run a business, not how to become a good tax dodger or an excellent salesperson. It can be seen that Business Administration gives you a comprehensive view of the business operations of an enterprise, while specialized fields of study are just a link in a large machine.

The second question is, why can’t you immediately take on a management position in a business after graduating from the Faculty of Business Administration? Because these theories need to be applied in practice to be deeply absorbed, which is also the reason why employers often prioritize candidates with practical experience over new graduates who only know academic theories.

The third problem, for a freshman, is that the most pressing thing when seeing the recruitment conditions is: "priority for experienced people". So where can a new graduate get experience? Here, I advise you not to limit the word "experience" to the scope of experience, define it in a different way and convince the employer to agree with your opinion. It is not necessary to go through experience to gain knowledge and experience. Experience is not the only process to gain experience. So how to accumulate experience for yourself. The answer is that you will accumulate it through case study exercises. I often emphasize to students that in the case studies that you do, there is never a correct answer, because what you need is not a standard answer, but to find an orientation or a concept that is most supported and agreed upon by everyone.

So if you escape the vicious circle of the three problems above, you can see why you should choose to study Business Administration?

1. Open learning path

If you study Business Administration, you can learn a lot of specialized knowledge in economics and management such as business strategy, human resource management, or international business. You will be trained in skills such as financial planning analysis, marketing strategy development, and business negotiation. At the same time, focus on developing the qualities and abilities of a manager, including decision-making ability, public relations ability, consulting and judgment ability, and moreover, organizational and operational ability.

2. Have many choices in work

In every field of organization, including politics, economics, culture, military or religion, management plays an important and leading role. And there is no production - business organization that does not need business administrators. That is why the employment rate of students majoring in Business Administration has been over 95% for many consecutive years. Not counting positions that require deep expertise such as Accounting, Business Administration students can almost take on most job positions in businesses such as market analysis, marketing planning, channel management, sales consulting, product management, financial and investment management, etc. You can try to experience different positions if you feel bored with having to do the same job all year round.

3. Start a business

A good study plan can give you a useful overview of the current state of your business. For those who want to start a business, studying Business Administration is particularly useful, providing valuable insights into the industry and the market. Successful start-ups are built on a good education and an understanding of how successful businesses work. So if you develop an entrepreneurial mindset faster than those who choose other majors, you are more likely to succeed.

4. Improve leadership qualities

Delegation and supervision are two of the most important responsibilities in any Business Administration activity. However, it is not always possible to find a common voice with potential candidates. Human resource management is not a simple story and is a process that has many impacts. When you choose to study Business Administration, you will learn how to measure your expectations appropriately, build strong relationships, create an intimate atmosphere and bring the desired benefits. You can easily build public relations by studying Business Administration.
