The scientific research topic on the content of "Developing a master's training program in Economic Management with an application orientation" is chaired and implemented by Assoc. The topic is completed within 06 months (from January 2019 to June 2019).
The Master of Economic Management training program, code 8340410 (formerly code 60340410) of Dai Nam University is licensed by the Ministry of Education and Training under Decision No. 3777/QD-BGDDT dated September 23, 2015. The 60-credit program is designed in 27 modules according to the credit ratio between general knowledge - basic knowledge - specialized knowledge - thesis of 12 - 15 - 21 - 12 credits respectively. After 5 years of implementation, the program has contributed to training thousands of master's students in Economic Management, contributing to providing high-quality human resources to meet the needs of state management agencies, organizations, and enterprises in all economic sectors and fields. The training products of the basic program are of good quality, highly appreciated by learners, employers, and business organizations, and are consistent with the program's output training objectives in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
However, facing the reality of building a training program that meets output standards and emphasizes more on applicability, the topic has made specific recommendations:
- Firstly, about our objectives: Training masters in the field of economic management with a practical orientation, having systematic and modern knowledge of economic management, with the capacity to work in state management agencies of ministries, branches, localities and business organizations of all economic sectors.
- Second, regarding specific objectives: The master's training program in economic management is designed in an application-oriented manner to help learners improve their professional knowledge and operational skills in the field of economic management; have the ability to work independently and creatively; have the ability to organize and operate economic management, promote and effectively use specialized knowledge in performing tasks appropriate to actual conditions in the public sector and other areas; have scientific research methods and can continue to participate in the doctoral training program.
- The new training program proposed by the research topic still maintains the overall number of credits at 60, but the number of credits for basic knowledge - specialized knowledge - thesis has been adjusted to 14 - 20 - 14. In addition, the topic has also rebuilt the output standards in terms of general knowledge, basic knowledge, specialized knowledge, professional skills, scientific research skills, soft skills, foreign languages, autonomy and responsibility.
The project has been accepted and recognized according to Decision No. 21001/QD-DN dated February 10, 2020 of the President of Dai Nam University with the result of Good classification. The proposed training program framework of the project for the master's degree in Economic Management with application orientation of Dai Nam University will be applied to the enrollment courses from 2020.
