SCHOOL LEVEL RESEARCH TOPIC:

“DEVELOPING A MASTER'S DEGREE TRAINING PROGRAM IN BANKING AND FINANCE WITH APPLICATION ORIENTATION”

“Developing a master's degree training program in banking and finance in an applied orientation” is a school-level project of the Graduate Training Institute, chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Trong Phuc. The project was implemented within 06 months (from January 2019 to June 2019) with the participation of members: Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Thi Thu Ha (Secretary), Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hung Son and Dr. Pham Hoai Bac. The project is part of the 2018-2019 school year plan of the Graduate Training Institute, implemented according to Decision No. 12503/QD-DN dated February 25, 2019 of the President of Dai Nam University on assigning scientific research projects for the year 2018-2019.

The Master's degree program in Finance - Banking, code 8340201 (formerly code 60340201) of Dai Nam University is permitted to train by the Ministry of Education and Training under Decision No. 4446/QD-BGDDT dated October 4, 2013. The 60-credit program is designed in 26 modules according to the credit ratio between general knowledge - basic knowledge - specialized knowledge - thesis of 12 - 14 - 22 - 12 credits respectively. The new training program proposed by the research topic still maintains the total number of credits at 60 but has been adjusted to increase 03 elective modules in the specialized knowledge block. The number of additional modules is Multinational Corporate Finance, Corporate Culture and Business Ethics and Building a Positive Attitude. In particular, the addition of the final subject "Building a positive attitude" aims to train Finance - Banking masters who not only have good professional skills but also have a professional and positive working attitude.

The topic has been accepted and recognized according to Decision No. 21001/QD-DN dated February 10, 2020 of the President of Dai Nam University with the result of Good classification. The proposed training program framework of the topic for the master's degree in Finance - Banking according to the application orientation of Dai Nam University will be applied to the enrollment courses from 2020.
