In order to motivate students to have a passion for learning, improve their professional knowledge, and know how to apply theory into practice in their studies and work after graduation, on May 24, the Faculty of Construction - Architecture organized a specialized scientific conference for the 2017-2018 school year.

The school's leadership representatives were Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Principal of the school, MSc. Duong Trong Chau - Head of Student Management Department; On the side of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture, there were Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Van Toai - Head of the Faculty, Architect Vu Khoi - Deputy Head of the Faculty and all lecturers and students in the Faculty.

The conference was attended by the Board of Directors, faculty leaders and students of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture.
In his opening speech at the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Van Toai highly appreciated the importance and significance of scientific research for students. Through the presentations and comments, the evaluation of the Scientific Research Council in this conference will be an important basis for improving the quality of training and scientific research of Dai Nam University in general and the Faculty of Construction and Architecture in particular.
This year's conference was attended by student and lecturer research topics with practical applications in the industry. Accordingly, the first prize went to the topic: "Analysis of factors affecting the load-bearing capacity of shallow foundations" by the group of students Bui Dinh Giao, Pham Van Manh, class XD07-01; The second prize went to the topic: "Survey of the influence of parameters on the settlement of the ground" by the group of students Ngo Xuan Nhat, Dinh Son Tung, class XD07-01.

A well-deserved award for a student's research project
In particular, the council highly appreciated the spirit and contribution to the scientific research work of Master, Architect Le Hung Anh - Lecturer of the Faculty of Construction - Architecture with the topic: "Improving the living environment in the urban residential area of Ha Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi city". This activity not only encourages the research and teaching spirit of lecturers, but also contributes to improving the training quality for students of Dai Nam University.
MSc. Architect Le Hung Anh – Lecturer of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture contributed a scientific research topic this year.
Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Van Toai shared: “Our Scientific Research Topic Evaluation Council highly appreciates the enthusiasm of students participating in scientific research. This year's topics are highly practical, collecting a lot of data and scientific analysis. Through this research activity, it is affirmed that students have gradually matured in their academic path and accumulated valuable skills to serve the work process after graduation."

The Scientific Research Workshop of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture ended successfully, which is a stepping stone in launching the scientific research movement for students in the upcoming school year. At the same time, this activity is part of a series of activities towards the 10th anniversary of the Faculty's establishment at the end of 2018.
