That was the affirmation of Mr. Simon Schweigert at the signing ceremony of cooperation between Dai Nam University (DNU) and Health Careers International Education Joint Stock Company (HCI) - Australia, on the morning of December 13, 2022.

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of Dai Nam University, there were: Board of Directors, leaders of Departments and Offices; staff and lecturers of the Nursing Faculty.

On HCI's side, there were: Mr. Simon Schweigert - Managing Director of HCI Australia; Ms. Le Thi Hoai Huong - Regional Director of HCI Vietnam; Mr. Do Dinh Trong - Deputy Director of Operations of HCI Vietnam; Ms. Phan Thi Huyen Trang - Director of MWT Vietnam Joint Stock Company.

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong hopes that the signing ceremony will mark an important turning point in training and gradually internationalizing the Nursing major at Dai Nam University.

HCI is committed to creating the best conditions for DNU Nursing students to study and develop professional skills.

Speaking at the program, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong - Principal said: Maximizing the experience between studying and working at enterprises is one of the important contents in the strategy of building a learning ecosystem for students of Dai Nam University. Especially with specific training majors such as Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, the University focuses on training closely following practice, enhancing experience, meeting the needs of medical facilities so that 100% of graduates can immediately start working, without wasting time on retraining...

“I believe that the cooperation between DNU and HCI will improve the quality of training, practical skills, and expand job opportunities for nursing students after graduation,” Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong shared.

Mr. Simon Schweigert shared about the training program for DNU lecturers and students at HCI.

Mr Simon Schweigert said: The increasing demand for health care has led to a shortage of high-quality health human resources in many countries around the world. Therefore, many countries, including Australia, are looking to "recruit" highly skilled people to meet the growing demand for health care workers.

Ms. Le Thi Hoai Huong said: HCI will have many preferential packages to support students and lecturers of the Nursing Faculty throughout their studies.

Important contents in training cooperation between the two sides

After exchanging relevant contents, the two sides agreed to cooperate in exchanging information on education and training systems and policies to support educational innovation.

Specifically:

1. Organize student and lecturer exchanges; create conditions for students and lecturers of Nursing at Dai Nam University to access scientific advances in the medical field.

2. HCI offers General English Language Proficiency Training programs for DNU Nursing faculty and students.

3. HCI provides online training programs and international specialized certificates for nursing students at Dai Nam University, including: Certificate III in Personal Care (Care for the elderly and disabled); Certificate IV in Elderly Care; Certificate IV in Health Administration...

4. Organize short-term and long-term courses on topics for students of Dai Nam University's Nursing major, such as: Nursing support in acute care settings, palliative care methods, handling challenging behaviors, client handover, cleaning, health and safety issues at work.

5. HCI provides a full range of consulting, career guidance and job referral programs for students...

HCI delegation visited the Nursing practice area with modern equipment system of Dai Nam University.

After the signing ceremony, the HCI delegation visited the facilities and learning and practice equipment of the Nursing Faculty students, Dai Nam University.

The signing ceremony is an important first step in the roadmap to gradually internationalize the Nursing major of Dai Nam University. With the signed training cooperation agreements, DNU Nursing students will be trained to meet the standards of knowledge and professional skills according to Australian standards, especially English, ensuring that they can work immediately after graduation and can work and integrate well in the international environment.
