On May 30, 2017, at Dai Nam University, Phu Lam campus, a scientific conference was held for students of the Faculty of Construction - Architecture, and at the same time, awards were considered and announced for student groups that won scientific research awards in the 2016 - 2017 school year. The program aims to motivate and encourage students to participate in scientific research as well as recognize students' enthusiasm for scientific research; at the same time, it creates a spirit of passion for learning, improves professional knowledge, promotes dynamism, develops creative thinking, trains scientific research skills, and knows how to apply theory and practice in studying and working after graduation.

This year, the Faculty of Construction and Architecture participated in 3 scientific research topics, related to necessary research issues in the professional field and practical applications in actual work.
The Scientific Research Project Evaluation Council made comprehensive assessments in the implementation of the project and selected the first, second and third prize winning projects according to the following criteria: overview and identification of research problems, project objectives, research approach and methods, research contents achieved, scientific products and applications, scientific and application values, presentation of summary reports and Powerpoint reports.
This year, the Faculty of Construction and Architecture participated in 3 scientific research topics, related to necessary research issues in the professional field and practical applications in actual work.

The Council sets out criteria for evaluating students' scientific research topics.
Accordingly, the topic "Determining the ultimate bearing capacity of a two-layer foundation using the Meyerhof method (1974)" by the group of students Tran Quoc Bao, Pham Van Manh, Dinh Xuan Tung of class XD 07-01 won First Prize.
02 Second Prizes went to the topic "Determining the limit bearing capacity of two-layer foundations using the method of Hanna and Meyerhof (1980)" by the group of students Ngo Xuan Nhat, Bui Dinh Giao, Nguyen Cao Cau, class XD 07-01; and the topic "Solving planning for people in remote areas of Viet Bac and Tay Bac" by the group of students Pham Cong Du, Hoang Duy Nam, Trieu Quoc Tuan, To Xuan Sang, Do Quoc Dung, classes Ktr07-01, Ktr 08-01.

Research topics honored to receive awards
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Van Toai - Head of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture shared: “I highly appreciate the efforts of the students in scientific research activities. These research topics are really useful in theoretical knowledge as well as practical applications. Through this research activity, the students have gradually matured in their academic path and accumulated valuable skills to serve the work process after graduation”.
