In the traditional camp of Dai Nam University with the theme "Youth with green living", many ideas were put forward with calls for joining hands to protect the environment. Among the camps of 13 faculties, the camp of the Faculty of Construction - Architecture stood out.

With the theme “SAVE EARTH”, the students decorated the booth with green building and green urban models, designed and built by themselves. The booth impressed the judges.

The architecture students' booth attracted many teachers and students to visit.

The theme of the pavilion is cleverly expressed, impressing from the image of the archway symbolizing the harmony of heaven and earth, also symbolizing a part of our earth. On the gate are many hands imprinted with the spirit of solidarity of young students building architecture.

Entering the camp, the symbol of two hands holding a globe is taken as the center, on both sides are two contrasting images: one side is an urban area with high construction density, industrial zones causing environmental pollution, the other side is an urban image with green buildings, using natural energy such as wind energy and solar energy.

The story about the impact of construction and urban areas is also led by the students through a photo exhibition from illustrations of the greenhouse effect, natural disasters to solutions for green buildings, green cities and images of some outstanding green buildings in Vietnam and around the world.

Student Le Ngoc Hung - K12 Architecture major shared his idea with the contest jury: " The "greenhouse effect" on the earth is happening seriously, which leads to "Global climate change" affecting the living environment. The environment is polluted, natural disasters are happening continuously with terrible frequency and destruction. The earth is calling for help every day and each of us must act immediately before it is too late ."

Talking about the impact of construction works, urban areas have a great impact on the environment. The massive urbanization process has robbed the green spaces of nature, exploited resources, fossil fuels for the growing construction needs, leading to more and more industrial manufacturing zones. Large construction works are springing up, dense urban areas consume energy taken from fossil fuels, along with CO2 emissions into the environment...

“Green model - Green city - Green company - Green Earth” - that will be what future architects want to aim for.

In the Green Dance competition, Architecture and Construction students used the song "Earth Song" to express their message.

MSc. Le Hung Anh - Lecturer of the Faculty of Construction - Architecture added: To solve the challenges of minimizing the negative impacts of the field of architecture - urbanism on the environment, it is impossible to take the immediate benefits (housing) leading to the long-term harm of green space for users... To achieve overall sustainability, a sustainable architectural - urban thinking method is needed.

Therefore, students majoring in Construction and Architecture at Dai Nam University have been and are being exposed to green architectural design solutions and sustainable architecture. Above all, it is necessary to thoroughly understand the spirit of awareness and responsibility in practicing the profession, not only to create a face for society, but also to contribute to protecting our living environment and future generations.

Faced with urgent global issues, the Faculty of Construction and Architecture is at the forefront of raising the sense of responsibility for future engineers with research activities, typically: The topic of Improving the living environment in old urban residential areas in Hanoi; Effective heat-resistant solutions for high-rise buildings in Vietnam...

The Faculty of Construction and Architecture is one of the first four faculties established at Dai Nam University. By 2017, the Faculty had enrolled 10 courses, of which 5 courses had graduated. With two main training majors: Construction Engineering (civil construction major) and Architecture.

With a team of lecturers with extensive experience and enthusiasm to pass on their profession to students, regularly updating knowledge and social needs to improve program content in line with social development. The Faculty of Construction and Architecture ensures that students can work immediately after graduation, meet the requirements of employers, and are worthy of being global engineers!
