Students of the Faculty of E-commerce and Digital Economy of DNU - Aspiration for business and goal of "winning" the competition prize

“Digital Business Talent Students 2022” is a contest organized by the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM) in collaboration with the National Economics University, aiming to discover and honor young talents in digital business activities. More than 20 leading enterprises in the fields of digital business, marketing, etc. accompany and support the contest. Coming to this year’s contest, the teams of the Faculty of E-commerce and Digital Economics (TMĐT&KTS) of Dai Nam University are determined to show their youth, creativity, business aspirations and aim to “grab” the prize.

In the first year, the Faculty of E-commerce and Information Technology of Dai Nam University sent 05 teams to the competition from the following classes: E-commerce 15-01, E-commerce 15-02, E-commerce 16-01, E-commerce 16-02, E-commerce 16-03. Although they were "new recruits", the K16 students were very eager and enthusiastic to participate in the competition.

The contest content includes 4 areas: Online sales (Candidates sell products on a number of platforms designated by the Organizing Committee from November 1 to November 30), Digital Marketing (Candidates are assigned to market products), Technology - Digital business solutions (Candidates have effective and feasible technology and business solutions) and Digital business ideas (Candidates have the most unique and feasible digital business ideas, unrelated to products).

DNU E-commerce and Architecture students are excited and confident to participate in the competition.

Immediately applying the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom, DNU E-commerce students decided to participate in the online sales content. Accordingly, the teams were assigned to sell products on the following platforms: Lazada, PostMart, Sapo, Haravan, Ladipage...

Ngoc Ha – a student of E-commerce class 15-01 expressed: “This is the first year we have participated in a large-scale competition in the field of digital business, so it is inevitable that we are confused. However, with the enthusiastic support from teachers in the Faculty and the efforts of the whole team, we have completed our entry. Hopefully we will have a good result and can bring the prize to the Faculty”.

Accordingly, the first prize of the contest is worth 50 million VND, the second prize is 20 million VND, the third prize is 10 million VND. The winners have the opportunity to be sought after and invited to work by e-commerce companies.

Associate Professor Dr. Truong Duc Thao, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of E-Commerce and Digital Economy, shared: “The competition is not only a playground for students to practice their profession but also an opportunity for them to meet and work with leading e-commerce experts and businessmen in Vietnam. I believe that the students will be more confident and mature after participating in the competition.”
