“Green Saturday” is one of the volunteer activities in the series of activities of the traditional camp program “Youth with Green living” of Dai Nam University.

With the aim of educating awareness and raising responsibility for environmental protection among staff, lecturers and students through practical volunteer activities, immediately after launching, the School's "Green Saturday" volunteer activity received the attention and enthusiastic response of all staff, lecturers and students in the school.

This is the second launch of Dai Nam University teachers and students. Although the weather was rainy and windy, not really favorable, "Green Saturday" still attracted enthusiastic participation from many staff, lecturers and students.

From early morning, teachers and students of Dai Nam University were present at Than Tho Lake and Than Tho Lake to collect and classify garbage.

Both teachers and students share the same belief and purpose, people's awareness of environmental protection will be raised from small but meaningful actions like this.

MSc. Pham Van Minh - Deputy Head of Training Department, Head of Business Administration Faculty directly guides students in collecting and classifying garbage.

Sharing with us, MSc. Duong Minh Tu - Lecturer of the Faculty of Business Administration said: "Environmental pollution is a global problem and the responsibility of protecting the environment is not the responsibility of any individual..."

My fellow students and I are very excited about the “Green Saturday” volunteer activity. Instead of staying home and sleeping in on Saturday, with the garbage collection activity, the staff, lecturers and students have done something truly meaningful ,” said MSc. Duong Minh Tu.

Garbage during collection will be directly classified according to 3R standards (Reduce - Reuse - Recycle).

“Green Saturday” is a volunteer activity that Dai Nam University has widely deployed to all staff, lecturers and students in the school with a humane message: “Spread the movement to all faculties, helping students gain a deeper understanding of environmental protection activities”.

Mr. Tran Sy Nguyen - Head of Tourism Department shared : " We hope that through this activity, people around the area can raise awareness of environmental protection. Instead of condemning society, each person should raise their own awareness and responsibility for the environment."

Students of the Faculty of Tourism and the SVTN team of Dai Nam University actively collect trash and clean the environment in the Van Quan lake area.

For Dai Nam University students, “Green Saturday” is one of the experiences that helps change awareness and live more responsibly towards the community and society.

Student Bui Quang Hieu - DNU Student Team shared: “The habit of littering and mixing different types of garbage together has become a hard-to-break habit for many people. This not only makes environmental officers and employees tired but also makes environmental pollution worse, especially reducing the efficiency of recycling and reusing garbage…”

Consciousness cannot be formed in a day or two, however, consciousness can be formed and multiplied from meaningful actions like this… ”, Master Pham Van Minh emphasized.
