Thank you Dai Nam University for giving me the opportunity to "LIVE" my career to the fullest.

“I deeply appreciate the common home of Dai Nam University – the place that has allowed me to “LIVE” my life as a teacher.” Those are the confessions of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy – Deputy Head of the Faculty of Training and Soft Skills Development, Dai Nam University, one of the 36 “Outstanding Young Teachers of the Capital in 2022”.
Proud and grateful
Honored to be one of 36 young teachers in the capital to be honored, Ms. Thuy could not hide her joy and pride: “This is a noble title that any young teacher wishes to possess. I am happy that my efforts in education have been recognized.”
MSc. Nguyen Thi Thuy is one of 36 outstanding young teachers in the capital in 2022, honored by the City Youth Union - Hanoi City Student Association.
Ms. Thuy added: “I am grateful to my parents for giving birth to me and raising me to be a good person. I am grateful to the School Council and the Board of Directors for always creating favorable conditions for us to be creative, improve our qualifications and work with peace of mind. I am grateful to my colleagues who have always shared the hardships with me so that I can grow up day by day. Finally, I am grateful to the students who have always trusted, loved and accepted the knowledge and experience that I imparted.”
Dai Nam University has allowed me to "LIVE" my life to the fullest with my teaching career.
Since her university days, Ms. Thuy has been “incubating” her dream of becoming a lecturer. After graduating, Ms. Thuy worked as a Marketing Officer for a media company while studying for a Master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Commerce.
At the end of 2013, Ms. Thuy was introduced by Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Van Trang (University of Commerce) to apply for admission to Dai Nam University. After many rigorous rounds of examination, from interviews, professional exams, English, IT to teaching exams at the faculty, before the University Council... Ms. Thuy "defeated" many "heavyweight" candidates to be admitted to Dai Nam University.
Ms. Thuy is a young lecturer loved by many students.
After 6 months of internship and 6 months of teaching assistant, Ms. Thuy officially achieved her dream – becoming a lecturer in the Faculty of Business Administration; then Deputy Head of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications. Currently, Ms. Thuy is holding the position of Deputy Head of the Faculty of Training and Soft Skills Development.
“I deeply appreciate the common home of Dai Nam University – the place that has allowed me to “LIVE” my teaching career to the fullest,” Ms. Thuy expressed.

Study when you study, play when you play, study must be fun and fun is learning
As a young lecturer, Ms. Thuy's biggest pressure when teaching is: "How to speak so that students understand and believe". To overcome that obstacle, Ms. Thuy constantly improves, learns, and explores active and creative teaching methods, conveying information in a concise, succinct, and easy-to-understand manner; creating opportunities for practice and experience so that the lecture becomes lively and easily absorbed into the minds of the learners.
In particular, Ms. Thuy also "rejuvenates" her teaching style and language to suit the trends of young people, helping students absorb the lectures more easily.
“My teaching goal and motto is to teach students how to relate and apply lessons to reality; what they learn must be usable, not just left on paper,” she said.
Choosing the teaching profession, Ms. Thuy determined that she must constantly learn because knowledge is limitless; if she does not want to be eliminated, she must always find ways to renew herself.
In each class, Ms. Thuy always sets out clear study rules and rewards and punishments so that students strive and focus on their studies.
“I often joke that if a student is not “weird”, he is not a student. But I like to teach a class that is a little “weird, weird”, that way it is more fun. However, it is fun after class, but during class it must be serious. My point of view towards students is very clear, study is study, play is play, study must be fun and fun is learning”.
The rule applies to both teachers and students in Ms. Thuy's class.
Grown up from Youth Union work
In addition to teaching, Ms. Thuy also actively participates in Youth Union activities. She is the former Secretary of the Youth Union of Dai Nam University (term 2017-2019, 2019-2021). At Dai Nam University, every year, many movement activities are organized such as: Love Cake, Traditional Camp, Green Summer, Warm Winter, Warm Porridge, Reunion Tet, Voluntary Blood Donation.... This has contributed to training Ms. Thuy to become a passionate, enthusiastic Youth Union leader, inspiring students to live a positive, humane life, with the ideal of being responsible for themselves, their families and society.
Ms. Thuy (third from left) received a certificate of merit "Individual with positive achievements in the activities of the Dai Nam University Youth Union for the 2019-2022 term".
“I often “brag” to my students that I am a testament to the maturity of the Youth Union and Association. Thanks to the Youth Union and Association, I have gained confidence, dynamism, teamwork spirit, creative thinking ability… expanded my relationships and worked with many talented people, learned, motivated, inspired to live and work; I always feel full of vitality, positive thinking, love life, live a useful life for society, and together with young people help many disadvantaged people in life,” Ms. Thuy expressed.
Ms. Thuy wants to tell the students: “The Youth Union movement will be the foundation for you to grow, develop, be creative, live your youth to the fullest and dream of contributing to society. These are extremely valuable and useful experiences. Therefore, don’t just sit still in the classroom, but actively participate in movement activities, Youth Union and Association activities to leave your mark on your youth with these wonderful experiences…”
Sharing about her upcoming plans, Ms. Thuy said that she will continue to study and improve her qualifications to develop herself. In addition, she will continue to develop personal projects such as a Youtube channel sharing Marketing knowledge or a Tiktok channel - sharing and career orientation for young people.
