Overview of English Language Department at Dai Nam University
The English Language Department at Dai Nam University trains English for major students and all non-major students of Dai Nam University at undergraduate and graduate levels.
The English Department has two majors: English Translation and Interpretation and Business English. Currently, along with the general development trend, English has become a global language and English graduates at Dai Nam University have many opportunities to choose economic, communication and journalism fields directly related to the use of English in work such as translation, interpretation, translation, assistant, etc.
English is one of the most widely used languages in the world and has great potential for career development. Students majoring in English have the opportunity to study, practice and develop with leading teachers of English in Vietnam. Training program
- Training bachelors in English Translation and Interpretation: Help students after graduation to be able to use English and Chinese as an effective communication tool, translators and interpreters working in the fields of science, economics, technology and society. Help them become a potential human resource, with scientific knowledge, good moral qualities, professional proficiency, flexibility and creativity in work.
- Training Bachelor of Business English: After graduation, students will be bachelors who are fluent in English and well-versed in the field of commerce, including Economics, Finance - Banking, Accounting, etc.
- English training (a compulsory foreign language) for students of other faculties of the University: such as Faculty of Accounting, Faculty of Finance and Banking, Faculty of Construction and Architecture, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Public Relations, Faculty of Pharmacy... Equipping students with a solid English foundation to participate in working in the economic, scientific and technical sectors of the country.
- English training for students studying abroad, or joint programs with foreign schools (with the Center for International Training and Cooperation): teaching and improving English and Chinese proficiency for students inside and outside the school. IELTS and TOEIC test preparation for those in need.
- The quality of the teaching staff and lecturers of the Foreign Language Department is focused on investment: Lecturers are teachers who have been formally trained from prestigious schools in the country and abroad, have deep expertise, have many years of experience and good teaching, are dedicated and have a high sense of responsibility.
Career opportunities
With the major in Business English, graduates are able to work at domestic and foreign companies with the following positions: Assistant, Sales staff, Marketing, Customer care, etc.
With the major in Interpretation and Translation, graduates can work in the following fields or positions: Translation and interpretation in businesses; Freelance translation and interpretation;...
Degree
Graduates of English Language at Dai Nam University will be awarded a Bachelor's degree in English Language. Graduates can continue their studies at universities in Vietnam and abroad.
