In order to motivate and encourage students to participate in scientific research (NCKH) as well as to recognize students' enthusiasm for scientific research, on May 29, the Faculty of Finance and Banking (TCNH), Dai Nam University successfully organized the "Faculty-level Student Scientific Research Conference for the 2017-2018 academic year".
Attending the conference were Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of the school, Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong Lan - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Finance and Banking; along with staff and lecturers who are members of the Report Evaluation Council, student groups with topics selected for defense and staff, lecturers and students interested in scientific research activities.

According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong Lan, scientific research activities among students are always focused on by the faculty leaders to maintain and help students develop more comprehensive skills. Therefore, in this year's scientific research conference, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting will award valuable gifts to research groups with high achievements to further motivate them in the research process.

This year, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting has 3 outstanding projects selected to report at the Faculty-level Student Research Conference. The projects have been sent to lecturers in the faculty for comments, evaluation and scoring.
At the conference, student groups confidently presented to the Council about the research results of the topic, highlighting the important points, novelty and scientific nature in the approach to the topic, research methods... This year's topics are all of good quality, uniform, students have applied many rich, suitable and highly practical research methods; all focused on some necessary issues today such as choosing a major, the current status of group learning of students in the economic sector. In addition, there are also research activities in the new field of the Vietnamese stock market.

This year's scientific research topics have practical applications.

With a high sense of responsibility and unity, the Council of Judges at the conference selected and awarded the outstanding works that won the Faculty-level student scientific research award this year. Accordingly, the first prize went to the group of students Duong Thi Quyen, Pham Thuy Ninh, Le Trung Phong with the topic: "Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) through the Vietnamese stock market" . The second prize went to the group of students Tran Quang Dieu, Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Pham Thi Lan, Do Van Nam, Luong Binh An with the topic: "Research on factors affecting the choice of majors of students majoring in Economics at Dai Nam University" . The third prize went to the group of students Luong Thi Huong, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram, Tran Thi Ly, Phung Manh Dinh with the topic: "The current situation of group study of students majoring in Economics at Dai Nam University".

With the practical contributions of this year's student scientific research topics in improving the quality of education, it once again affirms the development and innovation in the training work of Dai Nam University in general and the Faculty of Finance and Accounting in particular. Aiming to train students to know how to apply theory to practice in university learning activities, equipping them with knowledge and independent scientific research skills so that students can work well right after graduation.
