The female valedictorian selected by Hanoi City to be honored "reveals" the secret to hunting for scholarships

Currently, Duong Thi Quyen is a teller at a bank. Thinking back to her student life, Quyen cannot help but be moved by the years of studying, working and dedicating herself to her best. In particular, the 9X got married while still a student, so allocating time reasonably and scientifically is very important. This is also one of the factors that helped Quyen complete all assigned tasks well, and also conquer scholarships in all semesters during the 4 years at Dai Nam University.

During her 4 years at university, Quyen received consecutive scholarships in all semesters from year 1 to year 4, and received a scholarship signed by Shinhan Bank Ha Dong branch with Dai Nam University to award to students of the Finance and Banking faculty with excellent academic achievements. She also held the position of class secretary, so in addition to studying, she also participated in the school's union activities, together with her classmates, successfully completed tasks, and actively participated in movements launched by the school's union.

Talking about her method of "hunting" for scholarships, Quyen replied: "Actually, I don't have any secret. You guys should study hard, try and make every effort to get a worthy scholarship. Importantly, always learn and research documents about the subject, if you have any problems, don't hesitate to ask the subject teachers, the teachers are always ready to answer all your questions" . In particular, the habit of processing knowledge and arranging time scientifically has helped Quyen master her life better. With homework assigned by the teacher, Quyen will do it right in class, so she will save time to learn more new documents.

With excellent academic achievements, Duong Thi Quyen was honored as one of the valedictorians chosen by Hanoi City to honor in 2019.

As a previous generation of students, Quyen has some advice for students who are dreaming, hoping and striving to get a scholarship: “You should always try and make your best effort, never let yourself be lazy. Because that way, you will easily fall behind. The path of knowledge requires us to always strive to constantly explore and learn.” – Quyen shared.

In particular, Dai Nam University has provided modern and necessary equipment. Many clubs help students have the opportunity to develop physically and release energy. Students are trained and have practical experience through the school's Practice Center. This is a solid stepping stone to help students be confident in their upcoming work.

Quyen said that in addition to learning professional knowledge, acquiring hard and soft skills in the university environment has helped a student a lot. “Thanks to this, after graduating, I confidently applied to different banks, confidently stood in front of the recruitment board and answered questions in the best way. And until now, when I go to work, the skills learned at school have also helped me a lot from how to behave with colleagues, how to communicate with customers skillfully and impressively ” - Quyen shared.

Therefore, when you are a student, it is necessary to manage your time, manage your life and be more proactive, to have clear steps in studying, then achieving scholarship opportunities is no longer too far away.
