The "unique" KNM training camp of K13 Dai Nam University students

Following the interesting theoretical lessons in class, K13 students of Dai Nam University have just completed the Soft Skills training program. With the theme “no pain, no gain”, the first-year students confidently broke down their own barriers, equipped themselves with teamwork skills, solidarity, perseverance, endurance… and experienced emotions in a complete, “one-of-a-kind” way.
Following the interesting theoretical lessons in class, K13 students of Dai Nam University have just completed the Soft Skills training program. With the theme “no pain, no gain”, the first-year students confidently broke down their own barriers, equipped themselves with teamwork skills, solidarity, perseverance, endurance… and experienced emotions in a complete, “one-of-a-kind” way.
The KNM training camp is one of the special highlights of the KNM training program of Dai Nam University.
With the awareness that specialized knowledge is a NECESSARY factor to help students start a career; KNM is a SUFFICIENT factor to create success, in 2013, the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University assigned the Faculty of Business Administration to develop and apply the teaching of the KNM subject. Dai Nam University became one of the first universities in the North to introduce KNM as a major subject.
Sharing with us, Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of Dai Nam University said: KNM is not only necessary in life but also an extremely important recruitment criterion for businesses, because it reflects whether employees can integrate into the working environment and achieve the highest work efficiency or not. The KNM learned in university will become an important premise for the formation of working skills and life skills for young people to build a solid career in the future.
K13 students enthusiastically participated in the KNM Training Camp.
“ Actual feedback from businesses shows that, in addition to professional knowledge, Dai Nam University students are highly appreciated for their eagerness to learn, their desire to improve at work, and their communication and teamwork skills…”, Dr. Luong Cao Dong shared.
After interesting theoretical lessons in class, K13 students - Dai Nam University had an emotional day experiencing the KNM Training Camp. Through 3 sessions with 3 clear purposes, the morning emphasized knowledge; the afternoon focused on skill development and the evening experienced emotions and changed attitudes, the KNM Training Camp with the theme "no pain, no gain" was a great success and brought many useful experiences to students. The first-year students confidently broke down their own barriers, equipped themselves with useful knowledge and skills and experienced emotions to the fullest.
Students are excited about the competition to find the last piece.
Sharing with us, Mr. Pham Van Minh - Head of the Department of KNM said: KNM training camp is not a form of "new learning" but a form of "experience" with the purpose of bringing theoretical lessons in class into practical activities. With the combination of military camp and summer camp, participating in KNM training camp, K13 students experience the discipline, seriousness, and harshness of the military camp; the fun, relaxation, cooperation, and teamwork of the summer camp.
“ With exciting and engaging competitions such as: Heartbeat, copy and paste, finding the last piece, trying to be Tam Cam, bringing jade to the king, experiencing emotions…, new students from different faculties were randomly paired up and confidently broke down all barriers, came closer together, heartbeat, shared a common goal and will to conquer the challenges…” shared Mr. Pham Van Minh.
Do Thi Huyen Trang - Chinese class 13-01, K13 shared: “This is the first time I have experienced a KNM training program. With attractive and exciting activities; new learning methods; close learning atmosphere, the KNM training camp has helped us realize who we are, become more confident, and learn many important skills. In particular, this is also a playground to help connect students. Students from different classes and majors have the opportunity to connect, work in groups and have become closer and more united even though they are not in the same class or faculty…”

Emotional experience in the evening. Lighting candles, writing letters to parents. The whole big hall burst into emotion. Tears were shed…
KNM1 Camp ended with regret for DNU teachers and students. The experiences, skills and emotions that the students gained while participating in KNM1 Camp will be lessons that follow them throughout their lives.
