She graduated as valedictorian of the 3rd class of Business Administration, Dai Nam University, and successfully started her own business from her hobby of sewing.
The first stumble
Tuyet originally did not like studying math, the first time she took the university entrance exam, she failed her first choice and had to rely on extra points to be admitted to Dai Nam University. Seeing her friends passing the entrance exams to big universities such as Foreign Trade, National Economics,... Tuyet felt very sad. Instead of being sad or depressed, Tuyet told herself that after 4 years of studying, she had to assert herself and not allow herself to fall behind her peers. Tuyet chose to study Business Administration and started to think about starting a business right from her first year.

Forming business ideas
Stemming from her hobby of sewing since she was a child, combined with her quick wit, curiosity, and observation, while still a university student, Tuyet had the idea of owning her own garment company. In her third year of university, through the media, the student learned that the Vietnamese garment industry exports 19-20 billion USD each year. In addition, analysis of China's labor costs is increasing due to the impact of the one-child policy. It is known that most of Vietnam's garment products have been imported from China because of their low cost, and domestic products cannot compete. However, because of the information that labor costs are increasing, the cost of garment products will also increase, so Chinese products will no longer be cheap, this is clearly an opportunity for Vietnamese domestic products to compete and develop. After knowing that information, Tuyet immediately started to learn and research more through books, TV, and the Internet. After 6 months, Tuyet decided to open a sewing workshop right after graduating.

The path to entrepreneurship
Tuyet's start-up process was indeed a thorny and challenging path. November 2012 was when Tuyet decided to open a garment company. During this time, Tuyet researched and selected the products to sell and prepared knowledge on how to manage a garment factory. From January 2013 to June 2013, Tuyet took 2 more courses on garment manufacturing at the Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts to further improve her knowledge of the industry. In August 2013, Tuyet applied to work at a garment factory to learn about the actual operation lines, production processes and how to manage the apparatus, thereby drawing her own lessons and experiences.
From the knowledge she had learned as well as her own practical experience, Tuyet analyzed and evaluated herself to see if the sewing factory was working optimally, if she needed to change anything, and if so, how to fix it. Day by day, her long-cherished sewing factory finally became a reality. In January 2014, the jeans sewing factory started operating. Production in the first 3 months encountered many difficulties, however, by April, there were many positive and favorable signs.
However, when the favorable conditions had just begun, in July 2014, the factory had to close for 2 months due to the Chinese 981 oil rig incident in the East Sea. Because the raw materials imported from China had increased in price due to tension, the border gate was closed, and the fabric imported by unofficial channels was priced too high, leading to inefficient production. However, after the rain, the sky cleared up, in September 2014 the factory resumed operations until now.
Facing difficulties
One of Tuyet’s first obstacles when starting her business was capital. She did not have much initial capital and it was very difficult to access start-up incentive funds at that time. Moreover, her family did not support her so Tuyet had to mobilize funds from friends. With such limited capital, Tuyet initially invested money to buy 20 machines for 3 sewing lines.
Besides, when starting her business, Tuyet was quite young and did not have much experience in garment industry or business management. To overcome these limitations, Tuyet worked and learned from colleagues, competitors, and experienced people. Tuyet shared that the process of working for hire in the garment factory brought Tuyet many valuable lessons. Tuyet applied her specialized knowledge of Business Administration, combined with the accumulated experience to run the business to grow stronger and stronger.

Advice for those who are preparing to start a business
According to Tuyet, the most important thing before starting a business is to clearly identify what field you like and whether you dare to face difficulties or not? No business field is easy, only those who are strict with themselves and have high discipline dare to embark on the path of starting a business.

In addition, to start a business, it is necessary to combine professional knowledge from school, soft skills and knowledge through practice. Tuyet emphasized that one should work for hire to accumulate experience before officially starting a business. During the working process, one should create the habit of observing the surroundings and thinking of ways to improve the business process in a more positive direction.
And one last thing Tuyet wants to share is that we need to prepare good health to be ready to face difficulties and challenges.
