5. Special features in the training programs of the majors

5.1. Computer Science:

Computer Science (CS) focuses on training courses in artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, big data, data analysis, data visualization, and natural language processing.

Graduates do well in jobs in artificial intelligence, data science, and programming engineering.

5.2. Information Technology Industry:

Information Technology (IT) focuses on in-depth training in programming techniques, software design, design and construction of intelligent systems. IT is divided into 02 majors: 1- Software Development; 2- Embedded Programming and IoT.

Graduates are good at taking on positions as programmers, software designers, digital transformation solutions, computer engineering, computer networks, smart agriculture, and smart cities.

5.3. Information Systems Industry:

The Information Systems (IS) major focuses on in-depth training in information system design, optimizing information system performance, data management, data analysis, network management and system security.

Graduates are good at taking on positions in charge of corporate information systems, data management, IT system administration, and system security.

6.1. Head of Department - Dr. Tran Dang Cong

Dr. Tran Dang Cong - Head of Information Technology Department, Dai Nam University.

Dr. Tran Dang Cong graduated with a PhD in Computer Science, majoring in Computer Theory and Software from Wuhan University - China. After graduating from Wuhan University - China in 2015, Dr. Tran Dang Cong taught at the Academy of Military Science and domestic universities. Dr. Tran Dang Cong has had 03 state-level projects on Building a marine information exchange system; Research on integrating 3S technology; Building a database of sea and islands, ...; published many articles in prestigious international journals.

Dr. Tran Dang Cong is directly in charge of the following courses: Artificial Intelligence; Introduction to Information Security and Safety; Enterprise Software Integration and Management; Data Technology; Connection Services and Platform Technology...

8. Where do students practice and intern?

8.1. Internship at school

- The Faculty has a workshop system consisting of 03 rooms, students can practice according to the subjects with practical nature and high job positions.

- AI and IoT Lab provides services, server platforms, and software for students to connect via the internet to perform problems, solutions, and software according to lessons, job positions, and practical topics.

8.2. Internship at domestic enterprises

- Enterprise system: Including nearly 30 ICT enterprises and research facilities signed partnerships to provide internship space and experience in the computer industry.

8.3. Internship abroad

- The Faculty of Information Technology has majors that are favorable for student exchange and internship abroad, through universities in Taiwan, Poland, Australia, and the US that have signed MOUs with Dai Nam University, according to specific MOA training agreements.

9. Scholarship Policy

- In the 2024 - 2025 school year, Dai Nam University (school code DDN) has set aside a scholarship fund of 55 billion VND with 07 scholarship programs for new students of K18.

Specifically:

+ Talent Scholarship 50-100% tuition fee for the entire course (worth from 60.5 - 576 million VND, depending on tuition fee of each major).

+ 100% Incentive Scholarship for semester 1, school year 2024 - 2025 (worth from 11 - 32 million VND, depending on tuition fees for each major).

+ Education - Health Scholarship from 10 - 30 million VND.

+ Scholarships from 20-30% of tuition fees for semester 1, school year 2024 - 2025.

+ Talent Encouragement Scholarship from 50 - 100% tuition fee for semester 1, school year 2024 - 2025.

+ “Dai Nam People” scholarship from 10-30% of the entire course tuition (worth from 12.1 - 172.8 million VND, depending on the tuition fee of each major).

Especially about the Taiwan Government Scholarship for the new STEM major, which is a scholarship available from 2023 for ASEAN countries and especially Vietnam. According to the minutes signed between the University of Danang and Taiwanese universities, starting from the 2024-2025 school year, the Faculty of Information Technology of Dai Nam University will select 90-100 students who have completed their 3rd year or have graduated to study in Taiwan with 100% scholarships and long-term employment opportunities in Taiwan in the IT industry.
