University Admissions 2021: Candidates can adjust their wishes 3 times

One of the notable new points expected to be stipulated in the 2021 university admission regulations is that candidates will be able to adjust their wishes multiple times online.

The above information was announced by MSc. Hoang Thuy Nga - Chief Expert of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training) - in the 2021 Admissions and Career Counseling Program in Dak Lak province on the morning of March 13.

Sharing with more than 7,000 students present at this consultation session, Ms. Hoang Thuy Nga said that candidates are expected to register for the high school graduation exam from April 24 to May 10, and at the same time register for university admission during this time.

"Unlike previous years, this year candidates can choose between two forms of registration: direct and online. Candidates register on the exam registration form, then use their personal password to log in to register their desired wishes," said Ms. Nga.

According to Ms. Nga, after receiving the high school graduation exam results, candidates are allowed to adjust their wishes 3 times within the time allowed by the Ministry of Education and Training. Candidates can only adjust online, not by form.

When adjusting, candidates need to carefully study the input quality assurance threshold announced by the Ministry of Education and Training for pedagogical majors and health majors that issue practice certificates; the input quality assurance threshold announced by schools to adjust their wishes.

Candidates can register for an unlimited number of wishes, but they must still arrange their wishes from highest to lowest, with wish 1 being the highest priority. In the first round, schools will consider all wishes equally, regardless of the order of wishes.

"Each candidate can only be admitted to one of the wishes they registered for. If a candidate has been admitted to the first wish, the following wishes will not be considered. Therefore, when registering for admission, you must pay attention to choosing the wishes you want to prioritize first to have the opportunity to be admitted to the major and school you like the most.

After being admitted, candidates must confirm their admission by submitting the original exam result certificate. Each candidate will only be issued one original exam result certificate with a stamp. Once admission is confirmed, candidates will not be allowed to register for any admission wishes under any other admission method," Ms. Nga noted.
