On April 25, 2016, Vietnam Airlines Corporation (VND) and IIG Vietnam Company organized the program "Vietnam Airlines Flight Attendant Recruitment Day" to give students the opportunity to become flight attendants (TVHK) working at Vietnam Airlines.

As the first university to set the TOEIC English output standard of 450-550 points, Dai Nam University has been focusing on English as the key to success for students, in addition to knowledge and soft skills. Starting from the 2015-2016 school year, Dai Nam University students graduating must achieve a TOEIC English standard of 450 or higher, issued by IIG Vietnam Education Organization. Realizing that Dai Nam is a university that meets its recruitment criteria, on the afternoon of April 25, 2016, Vietnam Airlines Corporation (VND) and IIG Vietnam Company organized the program " Vietnam Airlines Flight Attendant Recruitment Day" to give students the opportunity to become flight attendants (TVHK), working at Vietnam Airlines.
Participating in the program, on behalf of IIG Vietnam Education Organization and Vietnam Airlines Corporation, there were Mr. Pham Xuan Thang - Deputy Head of VNA Flight Attendant Group; Mr. La Anh Vu - Deputy Head of Human Resources Organization Department - Vietnam Airlines Corporation; Ms. Pham Minh Hien - Chief Flight Attendant, Deputy Team Leader, Flight Attendant Group of Vietnam Airlines Corporation; Mr. Le Minh Cuong - Head of Business Department, IIG Vietnam - the official and sole representative of the US Educational Testing Service in Vietnam.

The workshop was attended by representatives of Vietnam Airlines and IIG Vietnam educational organization.

On behalf of Dai Nam University, there was the participation of Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the University, along with teachers in the Board of Directors, teachers of various departments and a large number of Dai Nam students attending the recruitment day.

The workshop attracted the participation of many students.

The program “Vietnam Airlines Flight Attendant Recruitment Day” is part of a series of 42 seminars across the country in April 2016 with the aim of finding talented candidates for Vietnam Airlines. This is also the first year Vietnam Airlines has implemented widespread recruitment with up to 700 positions in 2016 and 800 positions in 2017. On behalf of the leadership of Vietnam Airlines, Mr. Pham Xuan Thang - Deputy Head of VNA Flight Attendant Group expressed his thanks for the cooperation of Dai Nam University with the company. He also hopes that after today's recruitment session, many Dai Nam students will become flight attendants.

Flight attendant is a job that many young people love, however, this is also a profession that requires strict recruitment criteria in all aspects from knowledge to appearance, health, etc. To help students better understand the recruitment criteria and requirements of VNA flight attendants, Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong - VNA's Recruitment Department shared with teachers and Dai Nam students about job opportunities at VNA, helping everyone have a more general view of the flight attendant industry as well as the criteria to become a flight attendant.

English is now a global language and an important criterion for students to find a good job with a high salary. And one of the indispensable criteria in the application for a TVHK is a foreign language ability of 550 TOEIC points. English is always the top priority for TVHK candidates along with other foreign languages. To pass the TOEIC exam more simply, Mr. Le Minh Cuong - Head of Business Department of IIG Vietnam Education Organization, introduced an overview of the TOEIC exam, skills and secrets to achieve high scores on the TOEIC exam.

The Vietnam Airlines Flight Attendant Recruitment Day ended with questions from students about the flight attendant recruitment criteria and sharing about the advantages and difficulties of becoming a VNA flight attendant by two representatives of the Vietnam Airlines Flight Attendant Group, Ms. Pham Minh Hien - Chief Flight Attendant, Deputy Team Leader, and Ms. Le Huong Linh, Flight Attendant Group of Vietnam Airlines Corporation.

Many interesting questions were asked by students to employers.

Representatives of Vietnam Airlines Flight Attendants Team answer questions and share with students about the advantages and disadvantages of being a flight attendant.

The program "Vietnam Airlines Flight Attendant Recruitment Day" has provided Dai Nam students with the necessary knowledge about the process and criteria for recruiting flight attendants of Vietnam Airlines to have the best preparation when applying as well as the benefits of becoming a flight attendant. In particular, through the recruitment day, students also understand more clearly the importance of foreign languages for work, thereby having a study orientation and preparing documents as soon as the opportunity arises .
