What can we see through each booth of 23 faculties in the 2023 DNU Traditional Camp?

With skillful hands and endless creativity, Dai Nam University students have vividly and impressively recreated famous regional cultural sites of the S-shaped strip of land entirely from recycled, environmentally friendly materials. The 20 booths represent 20 regional cultural heritages, 20 messages of environmental conservation, and respect for cultural values that Dai Nam University teachers and students want to spread.

Faced with global hot issues: Environmental pollution and commercialization of tourism, Dai Nam University has demonstrated agility and creativity in educating students about responsibility and action towards the community. It is the young people who learn about the culture of Vietnam's regions, thereby integrating messages of environmental protection and natural landscapes to the whole society, especially the Gen Z generation.

The 20 booths are 20 meaningful and humane themes, associated with famous destinations in Vietnam such as: Hanoi with a thousand years of culture, Ha Long Bay, My Son Sanctuary, Hue ancient capital, Hoi An ancient town, Ly Son island, Central Highlands, Da Lat, Ben Thanh market, Phu Quoc pearl island, Ca Mau cape...

Each booth represents the identity of each region, interwoven with the unique mark of each Faculty. The booths are carefully prepared by teachers and students, decorated entirely with "green materials", ensuring both aesthetics and conveying the message of protecting the tourism environment to the community and society.

Mr. Vu Dang Tuan Anh - Secretary of the School Youth Union shared: "More than anyone else, young people must be the core force in the fight to protect the environment and preserve scenic spots. First, set an example, then save ourselves..."

The Faculty of Accounting brings to the Camp the colors and scents of the Northwest region of Vietnam with white ban branches made from crumpled paper and dry leaves; the rustic features of ethnic stilt houses with worshiping places, fireplaces, and bundles of firewood; the splendor of ethnic costumes. Through that, the Faculty of Accounting wants to send the message: "Join hands to protect the natural beauty so that the Northwest mountains can preserve the wild beauty of a culture".

Moving to the Northeast region of Vietnam, young people can admire the picturesque landscape of 09 provinces and cities: Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Bac Giang, Quang Ninh. The Faculty of Information Technology skillfully recreates the image of a peaceful, romantic Northeast mountainous region, the cultural beauty of the ethnic groups here.

The Faculty of Logistics and Supply Chain Management brought to the Traditional Camp the poetic beauty of the Red River Delta with the message: “Vietnam is so beautiful, let’s go, explore, experience and preserve the cultural beauty of our homeland. Let’s join hands to bring Vietnamese tourism to the international level”.

With the theme “The Spirit of Thang Long”, students of the English Language Department are determined to join hands to preserve a green Vietnam, following the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: “The whole country looks to our Capital. The world looks to our Capital. We must all strive to maintain order and security, making our Capital a peaceful, beautiful, healthy capital both physically and mentally”.

To protect the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay - a wonder of the world, the Korean Language and Culture Department calls on the community to join hands in cleaning up the beach; collecting waste; improving the quality of the ecological environment...

The Faculty of Law brings to the Hung King Worship Camp – an intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO in 2012; along with the unique features of Dong Son bronze drums.

The Nursing Faculty’s booth was inspired by the Tet holiday of the people in the North Central region with images of flags, poles and the unique features of the ethnic groups here. The Nursing Faculty sent the message: “Together, let’s make an important contribution to environmental protection, developing green and sustainable tourism in the North Central region in particular and Vietnam in general”.

With “Turtle Journey”, the Faculty of Medicine took teachers and students of DNU to explore the South Central Coast region with its beautiful blue sea, diverse culture and unique cuisine. Through that, there is a message about awareness of protecting the marine environment: “Just a little bit of daily waste, nearly 100 million Vietnamese people are threatening turtles and the entire marine ecosystem. Not far away, we also affect the country's economy and the health of ourselves as well as our future generations”.

The Champa culture was recreated in detail by teachers and students of the Faculty of E-Commerce and Digital Economics. These include ceramic vases, flowers, brocade scarves, etc., which contribute to the diverse culture of Vietnam.

Despite many historical events, the ancient capital is still a symbol of the ancient and peaceful beauty of Hue. Coming to the Computer Science Department's camp, young people can immerse themselves in the ancient Vietnamese lifestyle with the majestic royal palace scene, recalling a heroic history of the country.

The Faculty of National Defense and Security Education takes visitors to a land of beautiful natural scenery with ancient towns that are both ancient and modern, youthful and clean - Hoi An. Thereby sending the message: "If the homeland wants to be green, the environment must be beautiful. If life is beautiful, cleanliness must be a priority."

The Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture brought to Dai Nam a pristine island in the middle of the sky and earth - Ly Son Island. This is an island that has not been affected much by human hands, so it is still the most pristine and "honest". "Don't let Ly Son Island suffer because of commercialization. Let it live in harmony with nature" is the slogan that the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture wants to convey.

The wild and mysterious beauty of the Central Highlands attracts all visitors to the Camp. The Chinese Language and Culture Department skillfully brings the cultural beauty, costumes, and cuisine of the basalt land to students of Dai Nam University.

The Faculty of Communication “brought” all of Da Lat to DNU. The brilliant colors of the trees and hydrangeas bring a green, poetic Da Lat.

The Faculty of Tourism recreates the hustle and bustle of Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City. No matter how much society changes and develops, it cannot erase the typical architectural works of the provinces and cities of Vietnam.

Recreating the fresh, rustic beauty of the Southwest region, the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology dreams of a peaceful, green, clean, and beautiful living environment.

With the hope of sustainable tourism, the Faculty of Architecture brings to the Camp the pristine beauty of the long beaches and green coconut trees of Phu Quoc Island.

The simple beauty of the land at the end of the Fatherland is vividly and brilliantly presented by the Faculty of Business Administration. Through it is the message: "Protecting the environment, fighting environmental pollution and global climate change".

The beauty of Vietnam's regions and "sharp" messages that directly hit people's emotions, perceptions and behaviors, teachers and students of Dai Nam University successfully conveyed meaningful and profound messages about environmental protection, preserving the green color of the homeland.
