What do Dai Nam University students get when doing internships in Japan?

Internationalizing education, creating a dynamic, modern, cross-border learning environment for students is the development orientation of Dai Nam University. In order to help students better understand the Internship program in Japan and the criteria needed to "secure" an international internship, recently, the Faculty of Logistics and Supply Chain Management invited representatives of Savina Company and EK Group to share with students.
With the motto “100% of graduates have jobs in their majors, have opportunities to develop their careers and themselves in an international environment”, the Faculty of Logistics and Supply Chain Management constantly expands strategic cooperation with domestic and international enterprises. The purpose is to open up many opportunities for practical experience, improve foreign language proficiency and professional skills for students.
From the 2024-2025 academic year, students majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Dai Nam University will have the opportunity to intern at Japanese enterprises. This is an activity within the Faculty's cooperation and connection program with Savina Company and EK Group.
Dr. Le Thi My Ngoc affirmed: Internship in Japan is a great opportunity for students majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Ms. Le Thi My Ngoc - Head of Logistics and Supply Chain Management shared: “Working in Japan is a great opportunity for students to experience and acquire knowledge and professional skills in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management industry of a developed country. In addition, students can learn a lot about corporate culture; Japanese culture and people. In particular, students who do internships in Japan can combine studying and converting some credits in the training program. One job but two jobs”.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Kien - Executive Director of Savina Human Resources Development and Cooperation Center said: With the paid internship program at a Logistics company in Japan, students can earn up to 40 - 45 million VND/month (excluding taxes, insurance, living expenses, etc.). After 1 year of internship, students have the opportunity to sign a contract to continue working with a Japanese Logistics company (after completing the study program in Vietnam).
During the internship, students are taught from the most basic skills to professional skills in the field of Logistics; have the opportunity to apply the knowledge learned in practice; witness firsthand the situations that arise and how the business handles them. In addition, students will learn communication skills, teamwork, presentation, persuasion, etc., thereby accumulating useful experiences for themselves, meeting the requirements of the current job and being a powerful "weapon" for practical work in the future.

What criteria do DNU Logistics and Supply Chain Management students need to have to "secure" an internship in Japan?
According to the regulations of Dai Nam University, students must accumulate at least the knowledge of the subjects up to the 3rd semester of the training program; equivalent to 2nd and 3rd year students to be eligible to participate in the internship and work program abroad.
To be “sure” of an internship in Japan, students must have good academic results and a Japanese language proficiency of JLPT N4 or equivalent. In addition, students should cultivate and acquire knowledge of Japanese culture to quickly adapt to the new environment. Savina Company and EK Group will cooperate with the Faculty of Logistics and Supply Chain Management to train students in Japanese.

The Japanese Internship Program is an important development step in the training roadmap for bachelors in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Dai Nam University. This activity not only connects the needs of recruiting high-quality human resources from businesses and training institutions from the root, but also helps the University orient the training of output products that meet the needs of the domestic and foreign labor markets. In the coming time, Dai Nam University will further promote business cooperation activities and international training links to further expand internship and work opportunities for students.
