The Faculty of Accounting is one of the first faculties established at Dai Nam University. In addition to building specialized training courses and skills training as mentioned above, the Faculty also constantly innovates teaching methods towards applying information technology and enhancing student experience.

Specifically: Immediately after completing the Accounting Principles course, students will study and experience the course "Setting up an accounting system on Excel". This is a course in which students and lecturers will research and build an accounting software on Excel with full accounting operations like a professional software. This design not only helps students "understand" the accounting principles, but the product is also used to experience the contents and accounting operations of Financial Accounting 1, Financial Accounting 2, Financial Accounting 3. At the same time, students can deploy the application of that software to perform accounting work for units.

With the applied training program, at the end of the second year, DNU Accounting students are confident in performing the work of general accountants in manufacturing enterprises .

The process of designing and implementing accounting software applications on Excel helps students develop specialized skills such as:

- Collect and process accounting information and data according to the subject and content of accounting work, according to accounting standards and regimes.

- Check and monitor financial revenues and expenditures, collection, payment and debt payment obligations; check the management and use of assets and asset formation sources; detect and prevent violations of financial and accounting laws.

- Analyze accounting information and data; advise and propose solutions to serve the management requirements and financial and economic decisions of the unit.

- Prepare financial accounting and management accounting reports, provide accounting data according to the provisions of law.

- Prepare budget and build financial accounting plan.

- Work independently in expertise with professional style.

- Organize and operate the accounting system in the unit.

- Establishing consulting business; accounting and auditing services.

To form a system of knowledge, professional skills and autonomy, university students need to study and research for about 3.5 - 4 years. This is enough time to help students form and perfect professional skills to easily access accounting work at the unit or start a successful business.
