The English Language training program from the 2022-2023 school year will include 132 credits, distributed over 4 years of study. The program includes general knowledge blocks (including natural and social sciences knowledge blocks) and professional education knowledge blocks (including basic industry knowledge blocks, industry knowledge blocks, specialized orientation knowledge blocks, graduation internship).

The English Language Department at Dai Nam University has two majors: Translation and Interpretation and English Teaching.

• Translation and Interpretation: This major trains knowledge of the English language such as writing style, vocabulary, grammar, knowledge of culture and civilization in English-speaking countries. In addition to specialized knowledge, you will also be trained in other skills such as: translation and interpretation, translation techniques, specific grammar, and basic terminology in specialized fields to express information accurately and in detail in the original language.

• Teaching English: This major will equip you with the basic knowledge and skills of a teacher, including the subjects of English Teaching Methods, English Teaching Practice, Testing and Assessment, and Developing Teaching Materials. These subjects will help you design a lesson plan with steps and teaching activities in a lesson, along with practical teaching skills including phonetics, grammar, and communication skills. Finally, there are skills in preparing tests and assessing learners.
