Currently, the recruitment demand of this industry is up to more than 500,000 positions while each year, there are only about 50,000 Computer Science Engineers graduating from school.

In Vietnam, Computer Science is one of the professions in the Industry 4.0 category.

According to the latest announcement from the Ministry of Education and Training, computer and information technology is one of the two fields with the highest demand for human resources.

A report by VietnamWorks - the largest recruitment website in Vietnam shows that: In the past 10 years, the demand for human resources in Computer Science and IT has increased 4 times and shows no signs of stopping.

According to Google Brain, the demand for human resources serving the AI field is 1 million people, but currently there are only about 10,000 high-quality human resources to meet it. It is forecasted that Vietnam will lack about 900,000 computer science personnel in 2022 out of the total demand of 350,000 people in the whole market.

Explaining the great demand for human resources in the Computer Science industry, Dr. Tran Dang Cong - Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, Dai Nam University said: "The rapid "invasion" of foreign technology projects to take advantage of highly qualified human resources at competitive costs; the explosion of big data, requirements for security, system operations, or solutions to protect information from hackers...; the growth rate of new technology companies makes the demand for human resources in the Computer Science industry increasingly large".

Where do Computer Science graduates work?

Dr. Tran Dang Cong further emphasized: “Computer Science is a field of study suitable for young people who are dynamic, creative, and passionate about technology. By studying Computer Science, students will never worry about unemployment and will have a high income because this is a field of study where supply cannot meet demand.”

Accordingly, Computer Science Engineers can work in many different positions, such as: Technical staff, managers, operators in the field of information technology; Programmers, software product testers, software development process managers; IT specialists, network security administrators and monitors; Design, build, develop, operate and maintain internal computer networks in businesses, agencies, schools; Information network system project managers, etc.

The career field of Computer Science is very diverse, with high demand for human resources and high remuneration.

The salary that can be received after graduation of Computer Science Engineer ranges from 12-20 million VND/month. This salary will increase very quickly according to each person's ability and experience during the working process.
