What is special about programming training at the Faculty of Information Technology, Dai Nam University?

According to experts, one of the reasons for this shortage is that most IT graduates do not have good programming skills.

Conquer and master programming from the first year at DNU IT faculty

The new training program at the Faculty of Information Technology, Dai Nam University (FIT-DNU) aims to "eliminate programming illiteracy" for students graduating from the average level and above. Accordingly, right from the first semester of the first year, IT students at Dai Nam University have been taught basic programming. The new program will not cram theoretical knowledge, but will let students gradually get acquainted with programming skills, so that students get used to learning programming, not be afraid of programming and progress to love programming. If after a semester of learning basic programming, students are still not really proficient, still find it difficult, they will continue to "eliminate illiteracy" and develop programming skills in the following semesters, practicing over and over again until they are proficient.

In the 2021-2022 school year, the Faculty of Information Technology organized a campaign to "eliminate illiteracy" in programming for students in the entire faculty. According to assessment by testing, up to 70-80% of students participating in the campaign can be considered to be completely illiterate in the first phase. The second phase of the "elimination" in programming campaign has the participation of a programming shock group. The shock group will learn advanced programming, with "tricks" not found in books, accumulated by teachers for many years and passed down.

After more than a decade of construction and development, the Faculty of Information Technology, Dai Nam University has attracted thousands of students.
