Realizing the importance of practice and internship in nursing training, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University specifically directed the Faculty of Nursing to continuously develop training programs in the direction of internationalization of education; "learning goes hand in hand with practice", creating all conditions for students to experience reality, practice, and internship right from the first year and throughout the learning process. Fully equipping students with knowledge, skills and practical professional experience so that they can become good medical staff, the "core" of Vietnamese medicine.

Compulsory training of nurses in practice and internship orientation

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong - Principal of Dai Nam University commented: Nursing is a special field of study related to the health and life of patients. Therefore, the training process must be thorough, serious, and closely follow the reality of the profession.

“The human body is similar in structure but different in health, constitution, shape, etc. When sick, the signs and care requirements are also different. Therefore, if nursing students do not practice and intern a lot in the classroom and hospitals, they cannot become good medical staff. When graduating, it is very difficult to start working immediately and it takes a lot of time to retrain,” said Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong.

Nursing students at Dai Nam University practice and intern right from their first year of university.

Mr. Le Van Duy - Head of Nursing Department affirmed: "Every profession needs to closely combine theory with practice. Especially for a profession closely related to human health like Nursing. Practice and internship are the foundation for forming a 3T nurse: Knowledge; Solid professional skills and a bright mind; knowing how to love patients, fighting with patients and their families against illness".

Accordingly, Nursing students are able to practice at school from the first year and throughout the learning process. With the policy of "Enhancing the maximum experience between studying and working at businesses", students also have the opportunity to practice and intern at major central hospitals. In particular, students with outstanding academic achievements will have the opportunity to participate in international training programs and be awarded international certificates in Nursing. This is a "ticket" to prove the capacity of Nursing students at Dai Nam University, ensuring that 100% of graduates have jobs in their field and are "hunted" by businesses.
