With the investment license of Hanoi People's Committee, what will Dai Nam University build?
At the Conference “Hanoi 2020 - Investment and Development Cooperation” (June 27), Dai Nam University was honored to be one of 229 enterprises (the only higher education institution) trusted by Hanoi City to receive investment decisions. Accordingly, the project to build Dai Nam University Complex Phase 2 will officially be implemented in the third quarter of 2020 with a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND.

The conference "Hanoi 2020 - Investment and Development Cooperation" was attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and leaders of ministries, departments, central agencies, leaders of provinces and cities in the Northern Key Economic Zone, the Red River Delta, embassies of countries, trade counselors of the US, Europe... and more than 1,200 domestic and foreign investors and enterprises...
After reviewing the proposals of capable and experienced investors and the practical requirements of the Capital, at the Conference "Hanoi 2020 - Investment and Development Cooperation", the City granted investment policy decisions to 229 projects with a total capital of VND 405,570 billion (equivalent to USD 17.6 billion), of which the additional capital is VND 270,458 billion.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc awarded investment decisions to five major projects in Hanoi.
It is known that among the 229 projects licensed for construction this time, there are 100 domestic projects with capital of VND 227,499 billion (increased capital of VND 192,215 billion); 22 FDI projects with capital of USD 5.7 billion (increased capital of USD 3.4 billion) and 107 public investment projects.
The total number of projects and increased capital granted investment decisions at this year's conference were 5 times and 11 times higher, respectively, than at the 2016 conference.

What will Dai Nam University build?
With the trust of Hanoi City in granting the investment policy decision, Dai Nam University will have the conditions to deploy the construction and completion of the second phase of the university complex.
The Dai Nam University project alone cost nearly 3 million USD in design costs, undertaken by a foreign design group. Accordingly, Dai Nam University will focus on building additional items, including: Lecture hall system (GR-1 area 1350 m2 , total floor area 12,150 m2 , number of floors 9; GR-2 area 1350 m2 , total floor area 12,150 m2 , number of floors 9; GR-3 area 2,760 m2 , total floor area 41,400 m2 , number of floors 15); Headquarters building area 1,052 m2 , total floor area 8,416 m2 , number of floors 8; Practical - experimental workshop system area 3,517 m2 , total floor area 2,4619 m2 , number of floors 7; Canteen area 1,707 m 2 , total floor area 15,363 m 2 , number of floors 9; Library area 1,533 m 2 , total floor area 1,0731 m 2 , number of floors 7; Startup center area 1,035 m 2 , total floor area 8,280 m 2 , number of floors 8; Multi-purpose sports hall area 1,437 m 2 , total floor area 10,059 m 2 , number of floors 7; Dormitory system includes Dormitory 1 area 1,300 m 2 , total floor area 19,500 m 2 , number of floors 15 and Dormitory 2 area 1,570 m 2 , total floor area 23,550 m 2 , number of floors 15.
In addition, the school also invests in synchronous construction of traffic infrastructure, communications, electricity supply, water supply and drainage, parking lots, green landscapes, etc.
The 1/500 planning of Dai Nam University has been approved.
It is expected that in the third quarter of 2020, the school will officially start construction of the Dai Nam University complex phase 2 to serve the teaching, learning, scientific research, and practical experience of teachers and students.

Regarding training: Dai Nam University has a rapid increase in training majors and training levels. Currently, the school has 16 university-level training majors in 4 majors. First is the Health Block with 3 training majors including: Medicine, University Pharmacy, Nursing. The Economic Block has 5 majors including: Finance - Banking, Accounting, Business Administration, Economic Law, Hotel and Tourism Management. The Engineering Block has 3 majors: Construction, Architecture, Information Technology. The Social Sciences & Humanities Block has 5 majors: Public Relations and Communications, English Language, Chinese Language, Korean Language and Japanese major.
The school is currently training 3 majors at postgraduate level, including: Finance and Banking, Accounting and Economic Management. In the near future, there will be more majors in Economic Law and Pharmacy.
Regarding the number of undergraduates and graduate students: For undergraduates, the first course (2007-2008) had only 230 students, while by the 13th course, the total number of students has increased to nearly 25,000. Of these, more than 16,000 have graduated. Currently, there are nearly 8,000 students studying in the school's 16 training programs each year.
As of 2020, the postgraduate system has had more than 1,000 Master's graduates. Currently, there are nearly 600 postgraduate students of courses 5, 6, and 7 studying in the 3 above-mentioned postgraduate training programs.

Regarding the staff and lecturers: After more than a decade of construction and development, Dai Nam University has had a huge change in the QUANTITY and QUALITY of its permanent staff and lecturers. If in the first academic year 2007-2008 there were only 35 permanent staff and lecturers, then by August 2019 this number was 515 people. Including a large number of Scientists, Professors, Associate Professors, Doctors, Masters... 12 times higher than the first academic year. Regarding the infrastructure system: The school has a rapid increase in facilities serving training. The total land area of the school: 89,643.5 m2 (nearly 9 hectares for building the school complex). The total floor area built in phase 1 serving training and scientific research includes: Hall, lecture hall, library, learning resource center, laboratory, practice room, multi-purpose gym, 03 soccer fields, basketball, national defense and security training ground... is nearly 16,631 m2. Dai Nam University is the first university to have a 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotel model for students of the Faculty of Tourism to practice.
