In the graduation internship program following the model of linking the school and enterprises, the Faculty of Accounting organized a workshop on “Career skills and job opportunities for Accounting students” on the afternoon of May 18, 2017 at Phu Lam Hall, Dai Nam University. The program aimed to discuss and analyze the current situation, demand for accounting human resources and the necessary professional skills to meet the requirements of employers.
Attending the workshop were MSc. Le The Anh - Head of Accounting Department, lecturers from various departments, and hundreds of students from the Accounting Department of Dai Nam University.
On the guest side, there was the presence of expert Bui Thi Le Phuong - a senior lecturer teaching businesses about finance, accounting, and tax; and also the founder and operator of CENTAX Tax Accounting Finance Company Limited.

Guests, lecturers and hundreds of students from the Faculty of Accounting attended the conference.

At the workshop, students were shared by experts about essential professional skills, soft skills, professional ethics, communication and behavioral skills necessary for the learning process, creating solid foundation for internships and work after graduation.
Ms. Bui Thi Le Phuong said: “Every year, our country has about 200,000 businesses established and according to the strategy of the Startup Nation, by 2020 there will be about 1,000,000 businesses, bringing many great career opportunities for new graduates in Accounting. In particular, in the training program of Dai Nam University, there is more practical training than theory and teaching in virtual accounting practice rooms, so students will not be surprised when they go to work after graduation.”

Also in the program, many students were worried about the current unemployment of many Accounting students and whether employers are interested in students from public or private schools. To answer these questions, Ms. Phuong affirmed: “Whether or not you are unemployed depends on you! Businesses care about the real ability of candidates to do the job or not, not based on their degrees and the label of a public or private school. Therefore, right during their studies at school, Accounting students should equip themselves with solid knowledge and practical soft skills to be able to work immediately after graduation.”

The closing seminar provided practical knowledge for students of the Accounting Department of Dai Nam University before the upcoming internship. This is one of the important annual educational activities for students of Dai Nam University in general and the Accounting Department in particular. From now on, Accounting students should equip themselves with professional skills, hard skills, soft skills, information technology, and foreign languages to create a solid foundation to help them confidently find a job right after graduation.
