“In 4.0 university education, students are the center but lecturers are the ones who decide. To become good trainers, teachers must be knowledgeable, even very knowledgeable; must have good pedagogical skills; have practical experience; possess active and modern teaching methods; especially, must be dedicated and devoted in each of their lectures. The quality of lectures depends on the capacity of teachers, and at the same time is a mirror reflecting the value of teachers. Universities are not simply places to disseminate knowledge but places to explore new knowledge. If teachers do not have the skills to pave the way, students cannot become pioneers..."

Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University gave a speech at the Workshop on Current Situation and Solutions to Improve the Quality of Medical Faculty Lectures.

That was the sharing of Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University at the "Workshop on Current Situation and Solutions to Improve Lecture Quality" of specialized faculties held from June 22-30, 2021.

The workshop was organized with the aim of objectively assessing and recognizing the current quality of lectures in the faculties; creating a forum for exchanging and replicating effective and positive teaching methods - classroom management - inspiration - student assessment; providing opportunities for exchange and learning for lecturers to improve the quality of lectures; ensuring subject output standards according to capacity; improving training quality, so that graduates have a good life and become good citizens.

Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized: “The workshop is not only a forum for lecturers of the faculties to report on the current teaching situation; discuss teaching methods, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of lecturers and students, propose ideas to improve the quality of lectures, classroom organization and management skills, and student testing and assessment methods, but also an opportunity for school leaders to have the most comprehensive and realistic view of teaching activities in the faculties. Based on teaching practices and proposals and recommendations of the faculties, school leaders will have timely and appropriate instructions and adjustments…”

The workshop on Current situation and solutions to improve the quality of lectures of 17 faculties was attended by representatives of the Board of Directors and the School Board.

Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of the school said: “The Board of Directors assigned the faculties to organize the Workshop on Current Situation and Solutions to Improve the Quality of Lectures first. After that, we will replicate the good lectures in the School-level Workshop. The ultimate goal is to find easy-to-understand, lively, and attractive teaching methods to make students interested and understand the lessons; to instill love for the profession in students; to propose fair and effective methods of testing and evaluating students; to have lecturers with comprehensive skills and good classroom management…”
