That was the affirmation of Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University at the online meeting of new students of K15, Faculty of Information Technology (September 10).

Attending the meeting, on behalf of Dai Nam University, there was the presence of Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council, Board of Directors, representatives of leaders of departments - offices, leaders - staff - lecturers of the Faculty of Information Technology and the presence of more than 100 new students of K15 admitted in the first round.

The meeting of K15 new students of the Faculty of Information Technology also had the participation of alumni and student representatives of courses 12, 13, 14 studying at the school.

On behalf of the school, Dr. Le Dac Son congratulated and welcomed the new students of K15 IT. He emphasized that IT is changing the world every day, every hour; choosing to study IT is the right and wise choice. At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ai Viet - Head of the Faculty introduced an overview of Dai Nam University, the Faculty of Information Technology; the new training program applied to students of the 15th course; the learning roadmap for each academic year; methods of testing and evaluating students; effective learning methods at university level; experiential activities; job opportunities... to help new students better understand the new learning environment as well as be more confident in their own choices.

Also at the meeting, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal shared her emotions with the parents and new students. She shared: “ The money that parents have contributed to send their children to study at Dai Nam University, we understand that it is sweat, tears, even in difficult times like this, being able to take care of their children's education like that is a great happiness. The Faculty of Information Technology is one of the first faculties established at Dai Nam University.

Businesses are ready to welcome IT students from Dai Nam University

Talking about job opportunities in the IT industry, Mr. Tran Ha Thanh - Director of TMG Company said: Along with the strong development of technology and the Internet, IT is an indispensable part of any company or business. With an average salary of 18,865,691 VND/month, IT ranks 3rd in the group of 10 highest-paying industries in Vietnam, just behind real estate and medicine. In particular, the explosion of the 4th industrial revolution makes this industry even more HOT and attractive to learners.

Up to now, the faculty has enrolled 15 courses, 11 courses of students have graduated with a 100% employment rate in their major.

Mr. Le Van Hau - VP Customer Relations - i3 Network Systems Company added: Every year, the IT industry needs about 80,000 - 100,000 employees. Meanwhile, the number of IT graduates is only 30,000 people/year. The recruitment demand for the IT industry from 2017 to now is at the highest level in history.

The three key areas of DNU's IT department are Digital Infrastructure and Internet of Things (IoT), Data Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Transformation and Smart Applications.
