Dai Nam return date: November 20 with a special reunion of teachers and generations of DNU alumni

Every year, in November, generations of alumni return to celebrate Dai Nam University (DNU)'s new age and express gratitude to teachers on the occasion of November 20. This year, the return becomes more special when alumni join hands with the Center for "Student Employment and Entrepreneurship" to launch the network of alumni and students of Dai Nam University.

The program "Meeting to show gratitude to teachers and launching the network of alumni and students of Dai Nam University" had the participation of: Mr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Chairman of the University Council; Board of Directors; leaders, staff, lecturers of Departments, Offices, Faculties, Centers. Especially, there was the gathering of nearly 100 alumni and students representing courses from 1 to 12.

The President's "heartfelt" sharing with generations of alumni

Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Dac Son could not help but be moved when meeting the generations of former students who grew up from Dai Nam University. Now, all of them have careers and good lives, in line with the mission of the school: "Educating graduates to have good lives and be good citizens".

“For educators like us, the greatest happiness is to see our students increasingly successful, making many contributions to the community and society… For the past 16 years, I have always listened and followed your every step; hoping that you will leave and return one day soon, bringing with you the quintessence collected from all over the world to build and develop the school; helping the next generations of students…”

Mr. Le Dac Son was moved when he met the first batch of students who had been with the school during the most difficult and challenging times. Now they are all successful, have good lives and are good citizens.

Mr. Le Dac Son said: Over the past 16 years, with the determination and unity of the School Council; Board of Directors; staff, lecturers, employees and generations of students; Dai Nam University has overcome countless difficulties and challenges. However, the biggest challenge that the School always "worries" and strives to overcome is: "How to build and develop so that generations of students are always proud of the school they have studied at".

“Not being able to provide the first batch of students with a good foundation to study is the most painful thing for me. And for that reason, we have constantly strived, put all our heart, mind and strength into building Dai Nam University to become stronger and stronger so that generations of students can be proud of the place where they study and experience…”, he confided.

Mr. Le Dac Son affirmed: The development and growth of Dai Nam University cannot be without the companionship and joint efforts of alumni and students.

By 2030, Dai Nam University aims to become the leading trusted training address among universities in Vietnam. To realize that aspiration, it is indispensable to have the support and joint efforts of the alumni and former students of Dai Nam University.

Mr. Le Dac Son hopes that: Alumni regularly contribute ideas and suggestions for the school to further develop in scale; continue to choose Dai Nam University for higher education levels; support, create conditions for practice, internship and job introduction for students of the next course; expand the network of students and alumni of Dai Nam University nationwide, becoming a strong force with a voice in society.

“How to make generations of students feel responsible for the country and the people; wholeheartedly contribute and build to bring the country up to par with the major countries in the world is the aspiration of all cadres, lecturers and staff of Dai Nam University. We are committed to doing our best for you to cooperate and develop with the University; bring the Dai Nam University brand and Dai Nam University students to international level”, emphasized Mr. Le Dac Son.

Alumni representatives presented the school with a bouquet of fresh flowers in the shape of a heart, affirming a lasting love for Dai Nam University.

The small gift is a thank you from generations of former students to the Board of Directors and all staff, lecturers and employees of the school.

DNU Alumni Network Liaison Committee Officially Launched…

Ms. Pham Thi Dung - Deputy Director of "Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Center" said: The network of alumni and students of Dai Nam University - DNU Alumni was established with the motto and purpose of "Connection - Companionship - Responsibility - Success".

Accordingly, DNU Alumni focuses on the following activities:

One is to gather and connect generations of former students who have studied and researched at Dai Nam University.

Second, to create solidarity, cohesion, mutual support and act as a bridge between generations of students and trainees in activities such as studying, practicing, interning, recruiting, training, seminars, talks... and events of Dai Nam University.

Third, promote good traditions and spread the values of generations of Dai Nam University students "active career and community responsibility".

Fourth, mobilize resources from alumni and students to contribute to improving training quality and school development.

Mr. Le Dac Son and Ms. Cao Thi Hoa presented the decision and membership card to the DNU Alumni Liaison Committee 2023.

Mr. Pham Van Hong - Principal and Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Principal presented the decision and membership card to the DNU Alumni Liaison Committee 2023.

At the program, the Executive Board of the alumni network of Dai Nam University for the 2023-2024 school year was officially launched with 26 members. Mr. Le Hong Phu - LTD K5 class holds the position of Chairman.

“On behalf of the Executive Board, I promise to use all my spirit, responsibility and management efforts to further develop the network of alumni and students of Dai Nam University; to lay a solid foundation for a long bridge between the University - students - alumni and businesses”, Mr. Phu affirmed.

Also in the program, former students shared extremely emotional stories and expressed deep gratitude to the Board of Directors and teachers of Dai Nam University.

Mr. Le Quang Trung - former student of K1 of the Faculty of Banking and Finance, Director of Van Phu Branch - ACB Bank expressed: "Although the "first-born" class had a bit of a disadvantage, until now, I still think the decision to choose Dai Nam University was wise. To be honest, at that time we were not fully focused on studying. It was the strictness of the teachers that forced us to practice, study hard, and take real exams. Thanks to that, after 1 year of internship, I passed the exam and was admitted to ACB Bank. Now, I always want to accompany the school in recruiting interns, ready to recruit suitable personnel to work officially. I will definitely try my best to accompany, build and develop the student community of Dai Nam University to become stronger and stronger, creating more values for the country".

Mr. Le Quang Trung shared with deep gratitude and pride about the common home of Dai Nam University.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha - former K2 student of the Faculty of Finance and Banking shared: “I am the first batch to study at Hesco and I feel that the learning environment has nothing to complain about. Teachers always treat students like their own children; always care, encourage and support us from studying to daily life. Dai Nam's motto is "study for real, take real exams, no lies, no cheating". Every exam, we are more stressed than university entrance exams. But in return, the scores we achieve are all real abilities. Therefore, we are completely confident when holding our transcripts to apply for jobs. And indeed, I have surpassed thousands of applications to be admitted to Techcombank. Now, I have the opportunity to return to work with the school, conveying skills, experience and job information to students of the next batch. I feel extremely happy and proud. If I had to choose again, I would still choose Dai Nam University".

Ms. Trieu Thi My Hanh - former student of K3 of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, Researcher at the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agricultural and Rural Development, member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, term VIII, Guest lecturer at many universities shared: "Although I do not "enjoy" a large, beautiful and spacious learning space like the students of the next class, I am still happy and proud to see Dai Nam University growing stronger and stronger. Following every step of Dai Nam, I realize that the University has very specific and timely development strategies. The motto "internationalization of education" helps students not to be "confined" within the domestic scope but can reach out to the world and integrate. The establishment of a network of alumni and students of Dai Nam University will certainly further strengthen the connection between generations, the opportunity for the older generation to support the younger generation.
