I came to volunteering as a fate.
Le Viet Hoang – Former captain of the volunteer student team for the 2015-2017 term, currently an Admissions Officer at Dai Nam University
Like many other new students, in the first days of entering university, Viet Hoang could not avoid feeling confused about the new learning environment; new teachers, new friends and especially the independent life away from home. However, thanks to the help and sharing of teachers, friends and constant encouragement from his family, the young man quickly caught up and integrated into the new environment.
"As soon as I entered the school, I was attracted by the vibrant and humane volunteer activities of the DNU Student Volunteer Team. Until now, I still don't understand why I was so strongly attracted back then. Maybe it was fate. Volunteer activities have helped me grow up a lot through extremely valuable real-life experiences that are not found in any textbooks..." Viet Hoang shared.
With his enthusiasm and dynamism, Hoang was entrusted by the Youth Union with the responsibility of being the Captain of the DNU Volunteer Student Team for the 2015-2017 term. During his tenure, Hoang was always the "big brother" trusted by the Team members, accompanying them and sharing all the joys and sorrows in life.
With enthusiasm, bright smile and warm eyes, Viet Hoang always stands out in the green volunteer shirt and becomes one of the "big brothers" leading the way, showing the way and willing to accompany Dai Nam University students.
Besides, Hoang's footprints are also marked with the Youth Union in the school's events and activities such as: School's Anniversary Ceremony on November 14 every year, Youth Union's Founding Day on March 26, Love Cake, Green Summer Campaign, Warm Winter...
And in any position or role, Hoang always excellently completed his tasks and led the Student Volunteer Team to become an information channel, a bridge between the School and students, listening and responding to resolve difficulties and problems for students in the whole school.
Hoang is attached to the DNU Student Volunteer Team as a FATE.
Most memorable memory
In Viet Hoang's memory, the green summer of 2015 in Ngoc Khue commune, Ngoc Lac district, Thanh Hoa city is the most memorable memory. " This was the first of many firsts. The first time I participated in a group like the army, the first time my teammates and I went to a strange place to volunteer, the first time I learned what it was like to go to the forest to chop firewood, the first time I cooked rice with straw and dry firewood, the first time I learned what it was like to give and receive..." Hoang recalls.
It is these meaningful volunteer activities that have helped Hoang live more responsibly towards himself, his family and society. The fire of volunteerism continues to grow in the young man's heart every day. " This is the motivation for me and the members of the Team to constantly strive to expand the scale and promote the Team's activities. Each activity that passes leaves us with valuable lessons and experiences. And one of the biggest lessons I have learned is to love and share with the less fortunate in society..." Hoang confided.
For Hoang, the DNU Student Volunteer Team has become his second home, a place that helps him express his youthful energy and further unite the student community with the spirit of acting and contributing for students.
With his wholehearted dedication and efforts in all Youth Union activities, Viet Hoang has led the Team to achieve proud achievements during his term of operation. In 2015, the Team received a Certificate of Merit from Ngoc Lac District Youth Union for its excellent completion of the 2015 Green Summer mission in Ngoc Khe Commune, Ngoc Lac District, Thanh Hoa Province. In 2016, the Team was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from Sop Cop District Youth Union for its excellent completion of the 2016 Green Summer mission in Pung Banh Commune, Sop Cop District, Son La Province; a Certificate of Merit from the Party Committee and People's Committee of Pung Banh Commune for its excellent completion of the 2016 Green Summer mission; a Certificate of Merit from Hanoi City Youth Union for its completion of Youth Union movement activities during the term of the School Youth Union Executive Committee 2013-2016; Certificate of Merit from the Board of Directors for excellent completion of assigned tasks in 2015-2016,... In addition, the Team also received many other certificates of merit.
Currently, Hoang is an Admissions Officer - Admissions Department of Dai Nam University.
“The greatest award that the Team wishes to receive is the recognition and affection from the people, the children, and the lands that the Dai Nam University Volunteer Student Team has been to. The Team always wishes to contribute more and more to contribute its small part to building a more beautiful society,” Viet Hoang shared.
Nearly 4 years of dedicated service to the Student Volunteer Team with countless memories and the complete image of a student actively serving the community has helped Viet Hoang create sweet days of youth sharing and dedication. "Dai Nam has nurtured the dreams of youth, mine and many other generations of students..." Hoang said.
Although he is no longer the "locomotive" of the DNU Volunteer Student Team, that quality and spirit are still maintained, helping Hoang become a cadre with spirit, responsibility and always ready to complete his work well.
